Steigenberger Makadi - Adults Friendly 16 Years Plus

This is a hotel with its own soul. Every employee contributes to it with outstanding hospitality, friendliness and desire to help. Month has passed since I checked out after three weeks spent there and I have just very positive recollections of the place. Many people tend to return to the hotel and I believe I will be one of those. Book - you will not be disappointed if you are looking for relaxation and piece of mind. Ideal place to recharge your batteries indeed.

Everything about this hotel is outstanding . If you want a peaceful relaxing top drawer hotel book . From the moment you walk through the doors your made to feel special. The food is beautiful and the staff are amazing . They go the extra mile for you Thank you again to my Happy Place

Coming home

Congratulations on having such a great team of staff. From our arrival to our departure everyone was so friendly, professional and welcoming. First class service. Food was outstanding using first class ingredients. Selection was wide, tasty and flavoursome. All areas of the hotel were clean. Abundance of flowers throughout with comfy furnishings. Golf course was presented well. Greens were hand mowed daily. Great selection of breakfast items especially the cold juice area. Personally poured by a wonderful waiter who works throughout the night to make the vast selection available in the morning.

Sorry to say that the bed sheet did not fit the bed particularly well. Each time I moved the sheet as well as the mattress protector moved with me causing an uneven surface.

We had an amazing time at the hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The common areas and pool are well kept and attractive. The food was varied and tasty with many options to choose from. The staff made the place however - they work hard and provide a wonderful service that makes for a truly relaxing and luxurious break. We spoke to people who have returned on several occasions and I can see why.

The only issue that we had was with the WiFi, it was slow and dropped out at busy times. I would recommend buying a SIM card if you need a fast, 100% reliable connection.

* The food was exceptional 👌, very high quality with large variety * the breakfast was open buffet ( intercontinental, oreintal with a variety of desert, fresh juices, hot drinks ( coffee and tea) and fruit) and cheese bar 😍😍 with no single comment on any item on the buffet...... just enjoyed it. * The dinner varies every day on the buffet ( asian intercontinental, ... etc ) and also you have the option to choose between ala carte menu and open buffet varieties * the best desert partition ever ( go for the oriental desert, cheese cake ( especially Caramel ), creme brulee, tiramisu, chocolate cake. * the fruit bar carries alot of items ( banana, apple, beach, pineapple, plum, dates, grapes, cherry, orange, grapefruit, kiwi, european pear 🍐 and guava ) * As reagrd the room, it was extra clean every day with the same standrand with a coffee tray that has been regularly filled daily and tray containing 3 apples and 2 pieces of chocolate. There were 4 pillows for the queen bed ( 2 regular pillows and 2 other memory foam ones) * the air-conditioning system was perfect * the pool was extraordinary, breath-taking and amazing 👏 * the healthclub facilities were simple ( gym containing two treadmills, 1 bicycle, dumbbells , yoga mat) , spa and jacuzzi. * the hotel was extraordinary quite and relaxing with no animation teams or loud music, if tou search for relaxation or you are honeymooner, just go for it 😉 with no doubt, it will be the best choice

This hotel is everything you can ask for! The staff were so friendly, so polite, always checking that you have everything you need, always going above and beyond to deliver a great service! Azmy was a superstar! Food was delicious, we had Eggs Bennedict for breakfast every morning! Lunch was a la carte either by the pool or at the restaurant on the beach, amazing! You can also have a la carte dinner in one of the restaurants of other hotels in the same resort. We played golf and course was in excellent condition, one of the most challenging courses we ever played. I cannot recommend this place enough!

The place is faultless!

We had gone to Egypt to snorkel and had planned to go to Luxor for a few days, but the heat was intense and we looked to stay somewhere near the airport at Hurghada that we could relax for a few days and found the Steigenberger at Makadi. I read the reviews and thought it would suit us. Booking.com also gave me an amazing deal and we upgraded to an Executive Suite Queen Room on all inclusive. The room was amazing. Huge lounge area with two sofas, large bedroom with another sofa. Large bathroom and dressing area and super terrace with what I would describe as a 'lie in and soak' pool. As the weather was so hot, it was a lovely thing to do in the afternoon - just chill. Staff were helpful and attentive. The waiters worked hard in the restaurant. The food was very good with plenty of choices. We managed to walk every morning on the roads that the golf buggy's take on the golf course before the golfers were on the course. Saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the sunrise. All in all it was a good place to relax and only 30 mins away from the airport.

The live cooking station/hot food area is quite small and when lots of people are going and looking at their choices, it could get congested and sometimes awkward to reach what you wanted. But I am nitpicking here! The wifi was awful on the days that we stayed. The staff did their best. Provided us with a new router in the room, but it was a bigger issue than just our room. It was a real pain on our last day, when we had already been informed that our flight was going to be delayed and after that there was no wifi to be able to keep uptodate with what was going on.

What can one say that has not already been said about Steigenberger Makadi - when people told me that they are returning guests I can understand why, and only hope I am able to return again soon. Bear in mind, I am not a lying at the pool reading a book type of traveller , which made my stay at the hotel even more pleasurable - in other hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at, I would not have re booked twice and stayed a total of eleven days, when I had only planned on staying for a couple of nights. Dont take my word for it, try it out and see for yourself.

Nothing not to like ......

Great food with lots of choice. Our waiter Achmed looked after us very well, always pleasant and helpful as we’re all the restaurant staff. Lovely bedroom with an outside seating area overlooking the garden. A comfortable sofa and TV. An excellent bathroom with bath, separate shower good hanging space, two sets of drawers and a shelf each for suitcases. Pool staff always happy and helpful. Altogether a great experience always with blue skies!

Would have have liked an occasional smile at reception!

Very kind greeting from Waseem, and super warm hospitality from Mr. Wael who made us feel we’re home. Thanks for a super friendly staff, Mahmoud, Hussein, Reda, & Ahmed, you truly made our stay super special .Safe to say that besides the amazing hospitality, you will enjoy great food, amenities, cleanliness, and thoughtful gestures.
