Cabinn Aalborg

This is a budget accomodation, thus the room and bathroom are quite small. I lived in a room with two beds next each other (not with one to be upper). I chose this on purpose, as it seemed to me that there is not any wardrobe (in my room was not the typical one), thus I used the second bed as a wardrobe bed for folding clothes. The common problem of such budget accomodation is that in small space many things do not work together. But I was very surprised how practically everything was established in Cabinn. For example the table was put in a very good position, even the PC kind one. Bathroom was joined with a toilet, but the shower head was chosen such that it did not sprinkle everything around and it was possible to easy regulate the shower power, thus finally it was not problematic as usual (water was not everywhere). There was a kettle which was very practical. The windows have the shadowing which is also practical. It is in the real centre of Aalborg which is very beautiful. The breakfast is standard and simple, but not bad - bread, butter, jams, tea, juices, coffee, milk, two kind of cheeses, three kinds of ham, yogurt and cereals, eggs from powder, sausages, two kinds of morning cakes. For beginning days it was alright, later I preferred to take breakfast in the city.

I missed the fridge, at least some small one or some shared.

After arriving from Sweden by ferry we were looking for a place to stay two nights. We were surprised about the city Aalborg: much more mundaine than we expected and the Cabinn Hotel is at the right spot! Close to the waterfront and park, where you can have a walk, lie on the deck chairs on the quay, or visit the Utzon Center (at 200 metres). Also ideally close to the shopping center, bars and restaurants.( 1 minute walk). We arrived by car and there is plenty of space in the public parking when you arrive outside shopping hours (for which you can pay at check in at the Hotel). We were able to park close to the door that leads straight to the stairs or elevator to your floor. For our bycicles, there was a big cage in the corner of the parking garage with the key available at the reception desk. The rooms are pretty small. That's also the concept: like a cabin on a ship and to reduce costs. The third bed for our child was a bunk bed above the double bed. (ask for the detachable railing bar at the reception desk!) The bathroom is extremely tiny, but efficient. With the shower curtain closed around you, there is only room left for the toilet itself. It was good enough for us. For three adults, I would consider the room to small. Breakfast was good, but we don't have high demands for this. No noise from ouside or other guests. I would recommend this hotel.

The room and bathroom was small but actually had everything I needed, except a hair dryer 😉. It is clean and comfortable, very nice lobby. The Cabinn Aalborg is a perfect starting point to go see the north, Skagen, and explore the surroundings. It is located at the heart of the town, that is also very nice to go see, with a few shopping opportunities.

If you're traveling by car you have to pay extra to park it at the parking house of Friis Shopping Center. Although the price is reduced for hotel guests. Breakfast isn't included, needs to be booked seperate.

Location, parking was easy. Good breakfast, clean room and comfy beds.

The sink/shower soloution didn't work very well in my room. The shower leaked water when we were washing our hands and the bathroom is so tiny, that everything gets wet when shower is on and leaking. The Windows didnt have a safety latch, so you could fall right out of it if it were open. My kids slept in the uppstairs bed and had to climb right by the Window, so I had to have the Window closed at night, in case they climbed down to go to the toilet during the night.

Although the room was small, it was well designed (think ships cabin or caravan). Great location in the centre of town, about 10 mins walk from train / bus station.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide better tea / coffee making facilities. Unfortunately there wasn't any milk provided and just a paper cup.. Overall a good budget option and would stay again, either at this hotel or one of the other Cabinn hotels that are scattered around Denmark

Cabinn is Cabinn, simple and all I need for sleep. No extra fancy which i didnt need. I've stayed at Cabinn in different places and its trustable and work out fine. Beds were lovely. Very good locarion. Didnt have breakfast. I recommend for a shorter stay with no need of extra vaganza. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

No Cabinn hotel anywhere seems to have vegan alternatives like soymilk, oatdrink etc. Why? Come on, its 2022 and a lot of people doesnt drink or eat cow milk.

very central location in Aalborg. decent sized lobby area - suitable for meeting up with friends staying at the hotel.

breakfast choice was a bit limited. don't expect a cooked English breakfast. Quite a distance from nearest bus stop from the airport. Railway station is a longish walk (20 mins).

Convenient location which is not far off the main road (we were travelling to Hirtshals to catch the ferry to Norway) and close to the centre. The service was friendly and very efficient. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good.

As I am getting older it has become more difficult getting up to, and down from, the top bunk.

Cabin concept holds. Card only access to floors and room. With backpack only within walking distance from railway station. Had a window to the clear blue sky. For a single traveller room appears larger than more recent smart hotels. Anyway, in lower bed there is room for your legs. Had a fine queen size bed. Staff friendly young folks, had a professional welcoming check-in.

Satisfactory basic Scandinavian breakfast with fruit and some vegetables, however absolutely no low-fat options, and no hot eggs. Check-out was hotelier-wise non-professional, when I report a few deficiencies in room, the answer should be 'thank you, will be corrected immediately' and not like ' gosh, never heard of that'. Wash room cell is tiny and floor gets slippery when showering. Utensil provided.

Friendly staff, easy check in and check out, great location close to everything in the city

Elevator was broken so it was incredibly slow to get to the 5th floor and down all the time. They provide shampoo, shower gel in 1 package which is a big problem if you did not bring that along. It is not so expensive to get at least shampoo and shower gel for your guests
