Clarion Congress Hotel České Budějovice

The room is small but new, clean and comfortable. From our window, we could enjoy great view of the city. Good breakfast, tasty food and quite a lot of choice. The location is very good, not far away from the beautiful old town centre. Friendly workers. Free parking. Coffee and tea inside the room.

The room we got is different from the pictures showed as we booked. We booked a room with 3 windows included a window inside the bathroom but we got a room with only one window. The room is too hot for sleep, we had to sleep with open window and it was very noisy. Bathroom is very small and it was very hot when we had a bath. We stayed 3 nights but the breakfast is same for everyday, not much change. Room service is bad, on the 2nd day our beds were not arranged at all, bathroom also dirty with hair inside the bathtub and on the floor, a bottle of water also not refilled. The kettle is too small. The minibar is empty and warm. It doesn't feel like a 4 stars hotel.

Perfect location, the only tall building in the neighbourhood with the exciting panoramic view in the centre of city. Cozy & clean room, perfect breakfast, 24x7 reception and restaurant open until late evening.

Parking for an extra charge (>= 10 EUR) which is quite surprising because city is not so big and doesn't really seem to be overloaded by cars. Plus, the parking was barely loaded during our stay - around 1/3.

Nice, clean, convenient room and bathroom. The old town can easily be reached even on foot. Since the hotel is in a tall building, the view was impressive from the room. In general, it was good to reside here in Ceske Budejovice. (Although we went to the town to have some rest, the room seemed to perfect for remote work as well, since there was a practical desk.)

Breakfast was nothing special, I mean, a bit below our expectations.

Hotel location is great, it is within walking distance to the city center. Being the tallest building around, one have a good view, if he stays on the upper floors. Room was OK. Breakfast not bad. Parking free. Several restrictions due to COVID-19. Overall, our experience would be good, if ...

... on our last day we had very unpleasant experience with fire alarm waking up everyone at 5:30 AM. Most of guests gathered in the front of the hotel wondering, what was going on. After a while, it became apparent, it was a false alarm. However, hotel staff was nowhere. At the end somebody came outside and he silently informed small group, but only in Czech language. Guy did not speak any English nor German, so I had to translate what happened to fellow guests. Such a incompetence for 4 stars hotel. Total disgrace.

Breakfast buffet was great....a range of cold and cooked breakfast! Room was great...very comfortable, clean. Staff were very friendly offering a flexible free late checkout! Free coffee was on offer at Reception.

Rooms could have included some plates and cutlery etc. and a microwave would have been handy. It would have been nice for the hotel to have opened the outdoor seating area during our stay.....

The good location, 5-6min walk to the center. Very good breakfast. Public transportation 2 min walk, shopping center very near by ; 4-5 min walk

The hotel should place the information how to get to them by bus or tram from the bus and the train stations. That will help people a lot.

Convenient location to most of attractions, plenty free parking space. Efficient restaurant staffs with very speedy service particularly in the morning peak hour for breakfast.

The pillow was too soft. It will be very lovely if it could provide choices of pillows

A convenient location of the hotel - a bit of walking to the Centre, spacious parking, clean rooms, rich and delicious breakfast

For my personal taste, the pillows could be smaller and thicker - I needed to fold mine. And maybe a bottle of water in the room could be complementary during warm period of the year.

Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very nice. Everything was clean. They gave us free parking for our stay. Location is a five minute walk from the city center. We enjoyed our stay. I other words it was beautiful!!

Double bed is two separate beds put together and the drying fan was partially working, but those are just minor inconveniences.

For my purposes the location was fantastic, room was spacious and breakfast buffet offered many choices.

The lack of any curtain in the bathroom window would make me very uncomfortable if i was on a lower floor as it seems the windows are transparent both ways. I would appreciate faster lifts :)
