Pietra Rossa

I booked this property last minute and was really happy with the standard of it. It was clean and the location was great - just on the edge of the centre. I was staying here alone and felt completely safe the whole time. I would say the property is a lot nicer than a standard hotel given the rooms are unique and have so much character. The host Toni was really lovely, accommodating and helpful too, which was the cherry on top. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone else to stay here.

They could have provided bottles of water in the fridge.

Excellent position. Quiet rooms 20 min walk to airport shuttle bus, and main harbour port out to the islands. Good recommendations for eating.... Lolas. Lovely air conditioning. Good communication with owner , who was on hand to meet us. Maps available of split . After checking out we were able to leave luggage safely until ferry in the afternoon. Good security.

No lift up to rooms which was a bit of a struggle with luggage. Coffee sachets in room would be better without milk powder and sugar already added.no liquid soap in shower dispenser. Having a bad day with Internet. Not available during our stay.

lovely property, only issue was payment which we weren’t aware until 10 mins before the flight departed that we could only pay with cash or bank transfer. Due to our travel money card could only withdraw a smaller amount than the total required each day, to pay the full amount on the 3rd / 4th day. the staff were very accommodating to this, but I feel the use of a cheap sumup or izettle card reader could easily remedy this issue. otherwise a brilliant stay

The lady who checked us in gave us a recommendation for a restaurant nearby that was really good, LOLA. Communiucation for the check in was extremely uncomplicateded, very friendly service. Fantastic room and bathroom! We were extremely glad that the room was not located right in the touristic area, but all the same only a short walking distance away from it.

Everything great

This review is for Galeria Valeria as I moved there. Staff extremely welcoming. My flight was delayed and the girl waited till near midnight for me to arrive. I had #402 which had own sauna and nice views around the city from the platform just above/outside. Room was very comfortable and clean. WiFi was great and bathroom had a bidet. Location right at the sea front so just few mins walk to the main coastal area of Split.

The location is fantastic, very close to the beach but also to the old center and to the ferries. Probably one of the best locations to visit Split and the islands. The room is beautifully decorated, and it is in a great building. The room is on the first floor so not many staircases. The bathroom is large, and some amenities were present. The person in charge of the property is great and always reachable and responsive. He gave us also a lot of great tips for visiting the town and other places close by.

Unfortunately, our shower was flooded due to the presence of huge number of hairs in the drainage system that my husband must clean to avoid the water getting in the bedroom. Terrible experience. Real pity since the rest bathroom and everything else was very clean. Bea ware that parking in the area is very difficult and expensive.

Good location, within walking distance of both the main train station and ferry pier.

Unlike every other unstaffed apartment I've stayed in Croatia, this one didn't reach out to me ahead of time to let me know where to pick up keys and/or to give me numbers for security keypads. Their philosophy is to wait until YOU reach out to THEM. There are three numerical keypads to get past: one for the building, one for the apartment floor, and one for your individual room. Make sure you get all three at least a few days ahead of time... otherwise you could wind up like me standing outside the entrance late at night with no way of calling anybody.

Lovely little set of rooms very close to the Split old town and super handy to the port and airport bus stop. The manager was extremely helpful, even after an electrical issue that put the power out in my room owing to a faulty travel adaptor (mine). He worked so hard to resolve it, even late into the night. Electric issue aside, the room was clean, nicely furnished with great bathroom and facilities. Very well located to everything in the Split old town (5 mins walk to the nearest old town entrance), and just around the corner from a small but very well stocked supermarket.

As a result of the electrical issue, I spent the night without AC and power, however it must be said this was not the fault of the hotel (rather my own travel adaptor), and the manager worked extremely hard to try to resolve this for me which I really appreciated.

Clean, comfortable and attractive room with tea-making facility in a very convenient location. The key holder was on time waiting for me.

Unnecessarily fancy shower with control knobs that have no grip when wet.

Was unaware that payment was needed in cash or bank transfer before arrival. Only found out as we were boarding flight to Split. Having a SumUp card reader or similar at the property would make things a lot easier as we were limited in the amount we could take out each day at the cash point.
