Estelar Paipa Hotel Spa & Y Centro De Convenciones

This hotel is a gem in every sense and a great discovery for us. The rooms are spacious and clean, the hotel is surrounded by extensive green areas by lake Sochagota, where we took hikes and watched birds. Families with small kids find plenty to do, with an outdoor play area, warm swimming pool and games and activities indoors. Horse back riding, bike rental and more are also available. But the best of all is the incredible service by all employees everywhere, in the restaurant, gym, hallways, etc. We are truly in awe. We hope they all are very well paid because absolutely everyone did their best to make our stay memorable. Thank you, hotel Estelar, you are truly Stellar!! Sofía kearns

I loved the system of scheduling times for all the free and paying activities. It helped me organizing my time at the hotel. The kindness and respect from the all staff (at the spa, the restaurant, the front desk, housekeeping, the boat house, etc.) made me feel respected, appreciated and valued. The music during meals was simply awesome and the volume was just right. I certainly enjoyed the 24 hour room service. The food was tasty and the options in the menu were the perfect amount. The bathrobes!!! The clean and dry towels on each of the spa locations. The clean and well stocked bathrooms around the building. The board games always had the pieces/equipment required to use them. The close touristic attractions such as the Lanceros monument. I will always prefer and choose a pet-friendly hotel like this beautiful place.

The toilet kept getting clogged. We had to use the outside toilets several times. When the restaurant was busy, it took a long time to be noticed by the waiting staff and the food arrived at different times for each person in my party. This was not the case on regular days with less guests.

The facilities are very nice and the breakfast is incredible. The beds are confty and the staff is kind. The pool and the sauna are nice and the options to make different activities make everything amazing. I love it.

The service was slow as the hotel was crowded and the standard room iis kind of small for the price you pay for 4 people. (we couldn't get another one as it was packed). Standard room for 4 people is too small.

The view from the room was great. I could see Sochagota lake and enjoy beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The room was tidy and comfortable. Staff was kind and helpful. The hotel offers a spa area but I didn't use it. However, it looked really nice.

More than anything, I liked the friendly attitude of the staff. the facility itself boasts an architectural international price. Cleanliness was outstanding.

Upon arrival I was assigned a room without the view I had purchased. I had to insist on being given what I had paid for. The indoor recreation area could be improved by giving it a separate area, not a passageway around the stairs. Noise from the outside easily reaches all areas of the facility. Double window panes might help in making rooms more private. Outside may make it more inviting to stroll the surroundings or use the pool in the evening. I would add a more interactive concierge service, maybe a TV broadcast of the daily activities could facilitate guests’ participation or integration.

I loved everything , the breakfasts is awesome with plenty of choices , fresh fruit , real orange, mango even Papaya juice, those were so delicious. The bed very comfy , the landscape is so beautiful. The hotel has a pet , her name is Luisa , she is a beaitiful dog that was rescued by the hotel's people , I loved the story about her , as an animal lover I consider this like an act of kinndes ❤, Congrats to all of you . I really recomend this hotel because it is excellent.

Excellent location, beautiful building and good (albeit aged) facilities. Comfortable beds and excellent restaurant offering delicious food from local and international cuisine. Good for resting and day activities including horseback riding, sports (ie. Golf practice), walks in the eucalyptus forest and trips to the beautiful towns of Boyaca and Pantano de Vargas.

The hotel is undergoing some minor renovations and as a consequence the jacuzzi was a out of service. Hence, we could not use it. As a family of six we had two adjacent (quadruple) rooms and the door communicating these was locked. Although the service was attentive to offer assistance, there were unable to open them.

The staff was friendly and always available for any request, the hotel manager was exceptional. The jacuzzies had thermal water and were perfect for relaxing, there were many aquatic activities perfect for changing of scenery. The food was always delicious and not expensive, breakfast was delicious.

When we arrived, the hotel was full (even though we had a confirmed reservation) but the hotel handled it well and hosted us in a good hotel nearby. Another aspect that was not particularly good was that the pool was rather cold even though the climate was not hot. Also, the room had thin walls and we could hear how our room neighbors talked and laughed until 2am.

The hotel was situated in a great area, by the lake and lots of greenery surrounding. The staff was very helpful when needed and the amenities was excellent. Thermal jacuzzis, pool, spa, games and activities. You could stay there and not leave the hotel and still enjoy your time.

The wifi was not great in the room.

The staff was very friendly and professional, the meals, the facility itself.

Dogs barking all night in the hotel rooms. There should be a dedicated area of the hotel for guests with dogs.
