Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Pudong Airport, an IHG Hotel

Very clean, well maintained rooms and common areas. good facilities and everything you needed was available in the rooms- toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash etc. not sure why this is rated two star on google. they even had water bottles freely available throughout the property which was much appreciated, especially as you cannot drink tap water in China.

slight inconvenience as there was no gym on site. it is a good 5 minute walk, a rather roundabout route through a mall area also. during my stay, only on my floor it seams, there were two security guards/police officers sitting by the elevators the entire time. they must have had a reason but this was a bit uncomfortable getting in and out of the elevator each time.

Great shuttle from airport. I had a 14 hour layover during the day time so I wasn't able to stay the full night. When I showed up early with my booking and explained, they let me check in 4 hours early which was amazing. The bed was so big and comfy, nice and clean facilities, lovely shower, and I even got to have a coffee in the room before I left. Definitely worth it if you've got a long layover. And the airport shuttle is very quick and easy.

Wish I could have stayed a bit longer! Airport shuttle wasn't super frequent, but it was still alright, and just a quick 10 minute drive to hotel.

Only a few miles away from the airport. The hotel also offers airport shuttle bus (that is a shared service with the nearby Ramada Inn). From what I observed, this hotel is quite new. The format and decor is geared towards modern, minimalist, and no-frills market level, it is very similar to the European chain called Ibis. It meets basic travelers’ needs: convenient location, shuttle bus to the airport, very hearty breakfast, clean and comfortable room, coin laundry room with a very reasonable rate. What else you can ask for?

The hotel does have a restaurant or a convenient store; however, you can use the shuttle bus and go to Ramada Inn for dinner. The shuttle bus is on a hourly schedule. Taxi can also be used for about 16 RMB travel back to the Holiday Inn Express.

Room was clean and comfortable although quite basic. The location was only 8 minutes drive with a free shuttle to and from the Pudong airport. The free breakfast was delicious with good options.

The free shuttle only comes every 1h10 minutes if you arrive in the evening and once we exited the arrival hall, we could not go back in. Next time we will make sure not to exit the hall too early to avoid waiting in the cold.

Very friendly staff at reception and also repair man for small thing in the room. The man was available immediately. Hotel is close to the Shanghai Pudong Airport. Hotel provides bus shuttle to the airport and back for free.

I could feel noise from the airport. The noise protection of hotel rooms should be improved. I could hear every flight till midnight and also in the morning.

The hotel is very modern, clean and comfortable. It is close to the airport and metro station is 10 minutes walk. Breakfast is amazing. Good value for money.

Wifi was not working in the room. We asked for help at the reception and even after it did't work. As we didn't have mobile data in China, it would have been important to be able the use the wifi in the hotel.

The breakfast could be better. And make sure you take the hotel's free shuttle from Pudong airport if you arrive by metro line. The taxi drivers at the airport have a very bad attitude to take you since it's a short distance towards the hotel. Also, the walk from the metro station Pudong airport towards the Terminals to take the taxi is quite looong.

Location, room, price

Windows are not soundproof and airplanes are arriving and depaturing all day long. Hotel provide earplugs. It's good solution to sleep night well, but if you need to work/conference in mid-day you need to be prepared for constant disturbing Personal needs to practice English more

Ben Sherman toiletries! Great interior design, all band new, very clean and everything functioned well! Close to airport with efficient shuttle bus service. Excellent breakfast.

A bit hard to find anywhere to go for dinner in the area, so we resorted to instant noodles from the vending machine!

Ok for good night sleep. For me disapoinment that there was no food or drink servie in evening. Very well organised hotel shuttle which you can trust. We took the shuttle to the next hotel to have dinner :) Good hotel rooms without any services !
