Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao

Room was fantastic. Concierge was very helpful.

Restaurant staff need training. Waited over an hour one evening for dinner. Received after my colleague had finished his meal. They were not attentive. Had to continuously ask for drinks. When my colleagues meal arrived, we asked for an ETA for mine and it was not ordered. They then failed to ask for dessert and after we did order, brought out the wrong one.

I enjoyed staying at this Hilton, which was both very conveniently located and comfortable. The rooms were well equipped and the mattress excellent quality. The breakfast choices were broad and I enjoyed choosing from them each morning.

I asked for a late check-out, which was granted, but somewhere between me and the desk staff we forgot to update my key card and so I needed help to collect my belongings.

It is clean, the daily room service was done very well. The staff was friendly & they are local and western options for breakfast. There is a starbucks and family mart nearby.

The breakfast is the same daily, so it can get repetitive ( i stayed for 4 nights). There are no other nearby normal restaurants (except the ones from hotel or expensive restaurants).

Room is big and nice. Hotel facilities were very high quality.

The room I originally got had a weird smell and I had to get it switched. One of the furniture in that room was also broken. I do not think the room was ready to accommodate but was used anyways. Not up to 5 star standard. Room switch was fine tho!

It is real good place for your enjoy in Shanghai. Near the hotel(5 min. by walk) has starbucks coffee shop and it was open 7:00 am. Security , Room cleaning , staff stance for customer , can speak english well. Everything is good for me. Next time I will try to go there again. Thanks

They did not have a special Qingdao beer that was 'on tap'.

High end, great staff, great food ! The staff on the reception was very friendly, he helped my set up my phone and my laptop when I was having technical issues, the place was gorgeous and on spot !

They had Western and Chinese breakfast, my favourite was French Toast and next day they had pancakes. I liked that they had maple syrup and Nutella sauces. The room was great, view was also great There is a bus stop not far, also, not about 15 minutes walking from foreigners street. Executive lounge, for example afternoon tea was really great, I love their cookies. The pool was great Nice new, upgraded gym

For executive benefits for the drinks and dinner, one day they had Kimchi, which means all spicy, I couldn't eat, and next day they had local Chinese food, which again was spicy and I couldn't eat. Fish in soy sauce was not bad, but it was way too salty from soy sauce. I am sure glad that later on they had pizza, and salad, and great bread. I hope they have some non-spicy options for people who can't eat spicy.

No internet access in the room for the 7th floor. I needed this for my business work. I had to go home to get my own dongle so I could use my laptop Cheaper options for the Champaign would have been nice
