Holiday Inn Express St. Jean Sur Richelieu, an IHG Hotel

Good location for us, on route to Quebec City. Good value! Interesting town with a great water front area. Breakfast in the morning was good and offered a great variety of food items and the young men tending to the food were efficient and appeared to take pride in their work, kudos to them!

Appears to be an old Journeys End type hotel… although modernized still has carpeted rooms; which wasn’t very clean. Our bathroom had a mildewy type odour which may just have been the shower curtain?? a toilet that ran constantly and a bathroom fan that was excessively noisy; all issues that are easily fixed. Inspections more frequently by management would catch this stuff.

This Hotel is close to the business area of my interest and therefore very convenient. Breakfast is good and with a nice and quite complete buffet.. Rooms are quite spacy and the shower is very good .... Nice the coffee machine in the room complete of the coffee and the teas.

The heating/conditioning system is very noisy and without any possible adjustment of the speed ... Only temperature. The room is with dated furniture, still fine, but looks old .... Breakfast with more fresh fruits would be nicer. Did ask for a 1h later check out but was possible only for card members ...

The facility was very clean and beautiful. Located in a convenient spot with access to beautiful views of the water. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast too and were pleased that our dietary restrictions were easily accommodated.

The pool was nice but not as ideal for young children. The shallow end was small and half reserved for those coming down the big slide (meaning the other half of the shallow end was in a splash zone). Was great for older kids and teens but not as comfortable for those swimming with babies or toddlers.

The hotel was lovely. The pool was great. Room was clean. Pillows and bed were so comfy. I truly felt at home. Hotel staff were very helpful. The breakfast was fabulous. Cinnamon buns delicious!

I honestly can't think of anything. I would stay there again without looking at any other place. It made our trip even better than planned. Keep it up!

The price for the rooms was appropriate. It isn’t a fancy place but we enjoyed our stay and the staff was friendly and helpful. Many took advantage of the proximity to Boston Pizza but we chose not to.

It is an older building but our rooms were fine especially the one with the King size bed. It was too busy for us to take advantage of the continental breakfast. There was nothing left!

Hotel staff were great, room was very clean & fresh smell. Super comfy bed. Close to many restaurants. The morning breakfast, although we’re in Covid times, was excellent. You show up at a counter, young man offers fresh toasted bread, cold OJ, yogourt choices and many breakfast choices and all fresh. Even has hot delicious coffee. Bring to your room. Went back down for second cup but food service was closed by then but WOW, receptionist had the coffee silo all set up for more. Oh, and each room have their own Kerrigan coffee machine. Very thoughtful team. Would definitely go back. This hotel really goes to extra mile and do things right.

Can’t think of anything we did not like, really.

Very close to highway and restaurants. Not far from a grocery store. Free breakfast is good (coffee, toast, juice, fruits, yogourt…). Due to COVID protocol we had to wait in the hall to be served for breakfast and take out to our room. Fortunately, it was not too crowded and the waitress was pretty quick. Pool is really appreciated but with limited access (COVID). You have to register for it and you have a slot of 45 minutes with a limited number of people.

The hotel bed was so comfortable, the gym equipment was so fun to use, and the pool was great.

I wish the breakfast was served when I was there, as the kitchen door was locked and there was no breakfast at all in the dining area.

I HAD A DIFFICULT TIME FINDING YOUR MOTEL AT 11 PM BECAUSE I APPROACHED BY CAR FROM THE WEST, HWY401, THEN TO SOUTHEAST. NO SIGN WAS VISIBLE ON NORTH SIDE OF YOUR LOCATION . YOU SHOULD ALERT ALL INCOMING GUESTS OF LACK OF SIGNAGE(YOUR EMPLOYEE TOLD ME CITY REGULATIONS DID NOT ALLOW FOR BETTER SIGNAGE) YOU SHOULD FIGURE OUT A WAY TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM

Front Desk Service is really great. They were always resposive and polite to any need. Plenty of space to make reservations to use pool and fitness center. Thank you Terence and sir at front desk.

No microwaves in rooms, but they did have one where they serve breakfast.
