Best Western Smiths Falls Hotel

The breakfast was great, lots of things to choose from and the woman monitoring the serving area was very friendly and kind. We appreciated the attention to the visitor's needs and the choices of options available. The staff were all very accommodating and helpful.

The water did take a long time to warm up in the shower. Also, not the fault of the hotel, but there were kids above us and they were jumping off the bed and running around all hours of the night and early morning. So I would recommend that the hotel keep some lower-level rooms for families with kids so other patrons of the hotel don't have to hear or feel the vibrations of heavy feet.

It was the exceptional staff that made our stay top notch! Reception was very friendly and accommodating to some special needs we had. The very pleasant lady welcoming us was able to move us from the second floor to the ground floor without any problem as unfortunately, there is not an elevator. Also, the breakfast was very delicious and had something for everyone's taste. Our breakfast host was also very personable and helpful for our special needs. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned for another night on our way home.

The outdoor pool closed a bit too early! We would've liked it to be open until 9 or 10 PM. Other than that we had no other suggestions. We recommend this Best Western as a great choice to stay if you are near Ottawa or staying in Smiths Falls for all reasons.

Breakfast was quick, hot and perfectly adequate. The associate on at night when we arrived was Glenda and she was friendly, funny and accommodating (and she has her name on her vacuum and I respect that). When a friend decided last minute to visit for the night she changed our room and recommended a great pub downtown. She was awesome.

I found the price ($192) for one night was a bit much for Smiths Falls. Not exactly the tourist capitol of the world.

Dining area was bright and clean. Didn't think much of the employee sitting on the table in the kitchen with the door open. Food was decent. Room was clean and neat. Being on the ground floor though one can hear anyone who is heavy footed above them.

Need to replace the out of date toilets. Need the high boys. Also need to add grab bars if they insist in keeping the out of date toilets. Tight fit in the corner.

The room was very comfortable and clean.

The breakfast wasn’t that bad but what I didn’t like was that I had to use a paper plate for my breakfast and the plastic forks and knives were very cheap and difficult to eat with. The rate for the room wasn’t cheap it was fair but I think plates and proper cutlery is a must.

The breakfast and the staff assisting at the breakfast were exceptional. The hotel, halls, rooms, breakfast area and parking lots were immaculate. You can tell the staff takes a lot of pride in keeping everything perfect for the guests. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, new, well-run the hotel was, as I understand it is not a new property. Sure looked new and contemporary to me! I often travel for business but this stay was for a family wedding nearby. The staff at the hotel accommodated our needs very well! Thank you Best Western Smiths Falls, you are a credit to the town and the brand.

Grab bars near the toilet for an elderly relative, would be better. I arrived first and told my family to bring a walker for her, and that worked fine. Otherwise everything was well geared to be accessible. There was nothing else that could be improved.

Staff were very helpful. Room was superbly clean . Bed was comfortable. Facilities were well maintained & accommodation was close to shops & services.

Nothing except that we were on the first floor & no elevator so had a couple of trips to get luggage. Other than that could not fault the facility

The breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was as advertised and clean. The hotel is two floors and there is no elevator so if mobility is an issue, ground floor would work best.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. The facility was what we were expecting.

The bed was very good. Loved the pillows. The breakfast was very good & the lady in charge helpful.

When I booked the motel I was given the option to pay at the motel. When I got there, I find that booking.com has taken the money for the full 2 days. You took my money before I even got there!!! WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH YOUR SYSTEM!!!!
