Howard Johnson by Wyndham Sault Ste Marie ON

The breakfast was below our expectations. We have stayed at Super 8 in Sault St Marie, and at a Howard Johnson in Thunder Bay, where the breakfasts were GREAT. It is a reno in progress. Still recommend, because of the clean and spacious areas and the bathrooms and shower were great. Yes they offered breakfast, but not the same as others in your chain.

The signage outside was missing!!! Very little notice of where you are!! You probably know this already. And again, the breakfast offer was very little and surprising cheap. It WILL be ready I am sure for next year, as your renos catch up with the rest of the chain. Good Luck.

The front desk staff were very friendly.and helpful. They went out of their way to ease my check in when there was a glitch. I was exhausted from travelling and nearly in tears and they were calm, kind and fixed the issue for me right away. The room was large and spacious and clean. I had a fantastic sleep....nice and quiet, comfy bed.

The public areas of the hotel, such as the hallway, were old and maybe a bit dingy. Inside the room was much nicer.

The staff was very accommodating, the room was clean, beds comfortable. We had our dogs so was happy to see laminate floors because their hair is terrible to get out of carpet. We had a room in back which was great.

I was a little apprehensive when driving up. It looked shabby on the outside but it is obvious they are renovating as one wing was empty. We could see from back that the hallway doors were open, and a construction dumpster out back. I am sure they will update the outside once the inside is done.

Newly renovated room. Nicely appointed. Very,...Extremely comfortable bed. Best sleep I think I have had in a very long time. Motel currently under renovation so not all facilities were available. Sent us off with a nice bagged breakfast.

Some facilities not available as they were under renovation. Sadly, motel ran out of coffee creamers before we got to our second cup of coffee. It happens I guess.

Its an older hotel but they’re currently renovating. we stayed in a newly finished room. Very modern and clean. Duvets and bedding were lovely. Lots of hot water and water pressure. Desk staff was very polite, young man was very helpful.

It would be nice to have a hot breakfast but for the price, which was half the price of the hotel the night before and their eat in breakfast didn’t have a hot buffet, I’m fine with a bag brekkie and coffee.

Loved the rooms, love the updates, beds are comfortable love that there is a fridge in the room as well.

Suggestion to have carpets as you enter the rooms love the fact they have no carpet but with winter I found the floor got dirty very fast carpets at the door entrance of the room would help with the dirt spread from dirty salty gravel boots :)

The gentleman at the front desk was a delight as he visited while preparing our payment and cards. We get to our very clean room with new flooring (not carpet) and a newly renovated bathroom. Pleasant surprise as the cost of the room was quite reasonable.

My only complaint was the fridge was not turned on. Not a concern for us but future customers may appreciate knowing upon arrival.

The staff was very friendly. The room I side have just been renovated and were very clean. They provide you with a grab and go breakfast which has a croissant, yogurt, muffin and granola bar and a juice box per guest. All for under $80 rate.

The outside appearance is a bit sketchy! However it is under renovations and they started inside with the guest rooms.

The coffee was great. The bed was nice. It was very clean.

The room could have been finished. The ceiling had pieces breaking off if it and the rest of the room, except the headboard wall, was not painted. My husband felt we could have got something better. There could have been more than one hard plastic chair in there.

Very clean and upgraded room. Beds are comfortable, heater/ac worked perfectly. Parked right outside the room,it was easy to load.

We had 4 people in the room, teenager and child included, but we got only 1 bath towel, had to ask for more. The service brought more towels very quickly, so it's just inconvenience to ask for more.
