Wild Renfrew Seaside Cottages

We loved the amazing ocean view and the cabin was lovely and clean. We had everything we needed. even the coffee in the room was excellent . The food in the pub was amazing !! Best fish and chips I’ve ever had and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a great place !

Only issue was a lack of privacy. The way the cabins are angled depending on which you have there is a serious lack of privacy. We were in number 5 and we had a neighbour peering into our window looking at the entire space several times and talking very loud on our shared deck. A screen between decks would go a long way to fix that and allow you to have your dog on the deck with you without worrying about a random person coming out onto the shared deck. A baby gate is not wide enough to close the area off and if there are small children that could be an issue.

We stayed three nights in a two bedrooms and one living room, cottage. The cottage had a breathtaking view from its windows and balconies. Port Renfrew is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at, and our cottage at Wild Renfrew was one of the nicest accommodations. Dipping yourself in the hot tub, which was located on one of the balconies, during any time of day or night, and especially after a hike in Juan de Fuca or any other place around it, while watching the green hills running into the blue water of the sound, is as great as it sounds and even more. All facilities were convenient and the cottage was warmly decorated.

There are no cons to the place but two assisting comments - our cottage was one floor above ground level, with some stairs leading to it. Therefore one should bear in mind that one will need to carry ones luggage up. Secondly, when we stayed, there was only one restaurant in the whole area - a very nice one, I should add, but if it is already closed for the day there are no other choices.

We celebrated our anniversary here! We stayed in the seaside cottage Room 11. These cottages are stunning! Ours featured a breathtaking ocean view with a private hot tub on the deck. The cottage was amazing in every way, from the comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen and the gorgeous fireplace to the incredible large downpour shower for two! This is the best romantic getaway for couples – it's peaceful, and indeed very romantic! The views from the cottage is amazing. It's also fantastic to have a small beach right outside the cottage. We had a memorable trip, and would definitely return!

The fact you have to wash your own dishes before you check-out as it’s not included in housekeeping, which was very weird! If you’re not doing dishes, they’ll charge you a fee for $75! I didn’t appreciate that since we paid $1300+ for this stay and having to do dishes didn’t add up.

Great location, comfortable room.

Front desk staff not very friendly, especially when asking for activities to do, as we are not “locals” upon our arrival we were told we should have rented everything from Sooke or Victoria despite being the “adventure centre”. Kayaks would have been wonderful to rent. Another difficult part to understand was the cleaning fee for dishes explained on the wall, these units are not cheap, they are also not what I would call anything close to even 4 star, yet the description of a $75 charge for dishes not washed is ridiculous considering what we are actually paying for, no serviced rooms or any significant extras considering the cost of the rooms you are not getting a lot for what you pay for, especially a few plates and dishes to be cleaned. These are areas to be worked on

Amazing location. One of the most beautiful spots you can imagine. The rooms are modern, comfortable, clean and excellent. Nice outdoor fireplace overlooking water (even for garden unit). I think we got a sweet "winter" deal. Online checking was easy and you just get a unit and door code for easy entry. The adjacent Wild Renfrew pub was super nice too, with great food and beer.

Leaf blower every morning at 8:30am. Trying to get everyone up for the early10am checkout? Not appreciated or necessary. Why not wait until the afternoon at least?

The best thing about Port Renfrew Seaside Cottages is its location making several beautiful beaches close by, especially Botanical Beach. The setting and view of our cottage was spectacular, the cottage was well equipt and comfortable. The staff was exceptional, very responsive, and friendly. Our stay at Port Renfrew Cottages was outstanding and we will stay there again and recommend the Cottages to others.

Everything turned out great for us, we did rearrange the furniture to make the cabin work better for us.

Great quality of rooms (was expecting it to be on the rustic side but it was quite a high standard), immaculately maintained grounds, well stocked mini kitchen, and comfortable bedding/towels.

If you are on the pier side just be mindful that during peak times there is foot traffic that compromises some privacy. There are of course other room options without this concern. Wi-Fi was on the slow side but personally we enjoyed being disconnected. Just a heads up for those this might matter for.

This was an impulsive trip planned only a few weeks in advance. I hadn’t done too much research about places to stay. I just saw you site pics and thought it would be pretty. It was so much more than pretty! It was beautiful, a perfect location. The lady who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The room and patio were incredibly clean and comfortable. Being able to walk down to the pub and enjoy the sounds of waves was peaceful. We were sad to leave and are already planning our next trip!

Beautiful property in an incredible location! We stayed at one of the seaside cabins and the cabin was warm and cozy and the views of the ocean and mountains were incredible! Our stay was so cozy and peaceful, we really didn’t want to leave! It was also lovely to explore the small private beach and the dock by the property. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed during our stay

Had some issues opening the door lock when trying to get into the cabin. Couldn’t really figure it out and it seemed that it would open randomly.

We stayed in Studio Cottage Wharfside. The view was amazing with the exception of people walking by and looking in the room. The bed was super comfortable and it was so quiet. We ate at the Renfrew Pub and the food was amazing.

I was aware that the pub didn't open until 1130 for food, but what I wasn't told was there was no place in town to eat breakfast. Luckily we brought some food that we could put in the fridge or cook in the microwave.
