We were very warmly welcomed by the owners. The accommodation consists of a whole apartment in the basement and was super cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast really blew us away. It was not a buffet but freshly prepared by the owner in the kitchen. Apart from that, we could enjoy every day new cookies in our apartment and we received even homemade marmalade as a gift. What we didn't expect at all, but made our stay unforgettable, was the fact that the husband gave us a little sightseeing tour in the area. We also received many helpful tips for other places and restaurants worth seeing. We would stay there again anytime and highly recommend Berkies. Thanks for making our stay a whole story on our travels!

We really enjoyed our stay here and felt very welcome, Bob and Yvonne are great hosts! The accomodation is very spacious, nicely decorated, clean and it is very well equipped with tea, coffee, a fridge and so on. The breakfast was delicious! Bob also gave us great tips on what to do around Port Alberni and the Tofino region. We followed his recommendation and went to see the Stamp Falls, where we were able to see salmon juming up the waterfall, really cool! We can only recommend this B&B!

Berkie's is by far one of the best Bed and Breakfast's we have ever stayed at. The hosts were so hospitable and welcoming and offered helpful tips on the area. The attention to detail was far beyond our expectations. The entire lower level of the home was for our use. A big bedroom (with a very comfortable bed!), a cozy living space with a large TV, and a dining area complete with microwave, fridge, coffee maker and tea. There were even homemade cookies waiting for us when we arrived! The breakfast on both mornings was absolutely AMAZING! We felt like we were in a 5 star restaurant! The host even called us in advance to find out our dietary needs as we mentioned we were vegetarian. We highly recommend Berkie's!!

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect!

The hosts were exceptional in anticipating everything you might need to enjoy your stay in their very cute and comfortable BnB. Staying for a couple of nights, we enjoyed two very delicious breakfasts not to mention the sweet treats waiting for us in our suite. The space has a tranquil West Coast vibe and is extremely comfortable

Couldn't fault a thing, we had a very enjoyable stay. Next time we will come for pleasure instead of for business.

Yvonne and Bob were the best hosts you could wish for - they were so welcoming and keen to help and impart their wealth of local knowledge. The quality and variety of the breakfasts Yvonne provided was excellent, and the morning chats with Bob were very entertaining indeed!

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Daily home made sweet treats were a nice touch.

Great place to stay! Would absolutely recommend anyone to book. The owners are great people, who will give you a very warm welcome. You have all the privacy of a basement room, and its very spacious. Highlights of my stay; breakfast (you don't need food for the rest of the day until diner) and great recommendations for sightseeing in the area (I even got a personal tour to the salmon river).

You need a car to get around. Lots of beautiful sightseeing places are quite far apart.

The accommodation is excellent with very good furnishings, plus it is immaculately clean. The lounge area is large and the dining area has microwave, coffee maker, kettle and fridge. Breakfast was lovely - all home made! Yvonne and Bob are perfect hosts and couldn’t have done more for us. Bob took us to Stamp River, where we saw bears fishing and loads of salmon jumping up the waterfalls. We even got a ride to a local restaurant. Such hospitality!

Everything, Yvonne and Bob are wonderful host. Kind and always available to make your stay enjoyable. We were surprised of the space for us. It's so big, it feels like to be in your own appartment. The breakfast was delicious too. I would highly recommend to have a stop to Berkie if you wish to visit Vancouver Island. It feels like it's home

A wonderful stay in a spacious and comfortable home with two of the best hosts that any traveller could hope for. If you're staying in Port Alberni and this place is available you shouldn't hesitate to book. Breakfast is delicious and the room itself is extremely well-kept/comfortable.

No negatives!

Very friendly, helpful and hospitable hosts. Excellent breakfast according to our wishes. Large lounge with very good facilities, incl. fridge, tea/coffee maker, sizeable bathroom. Hosts' attention to detail was really appreciated.
