Quality Inn Merritt

Excellent value family appt for four adults- good kitchen and seating at a table. Separate double bedroom. Queen and big sofa bed in living room / kitchen area. Separate bathroom with good deep bath and shower over it.

For the price excellent value however it is old and tired. But CLEAN!! Fussier guests will complain but we thought was great. It was quiet and there was ample parking. We didn’t use indoor pool. Or eat breakfast as finished at 9.30am and we needed a lie in after a long drive.

Great service friendly staff, and warm rooms during our cold winter stop in Merrit. We were stuck in town after hitting black ice and totalling our vehicle. They were very accommodating for our impromptu and indefinite stay. The pool and hot tub amenities where great to soak our sore muscles after the crash and the whole pool room has heated flooring so I just laid my back on the warm floor and had my feet dipping in the pool. Could not have been happier for being stuck in Merrit.

Some might complain that rooms feel a bit dated, but for a small town and a slightly older building, the rooms were perfect and exactly what we needed.

I didn't have time for breakfast every day, but I did pop in for a juice and a muffin on-the-run. Having some fresh fruit available would have been nice.

I requested Handicapped Parking and a Ground Level room, which was confirmed when booking. I did get the Handicapped Parking but was given a second floor room up 14 stairs which was a hardship for me.

The room was beautiful and spacious with many amenities. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but it looked like a good facility. The hotel was quiet and parking was accessible.

The breakfast had many options but too much disposable plastic. I prefer real dishes to cut down on throw-away plastic cutlery and dishes. Also, the room had plastic disposable cups instead of reusable.

Staff are exceptional. Quiet location just off the highway with many fuel stations nearby. Lots of pillows for the beds. Many cable channels. Tap/shower water is hot! Many hot/cold breakfast options. Pet welcome with reasonable pet fee.

Pool was out of order. No elevator - if you have lots of luggage or mobility challenges ask for a ground floor room.

The staff was very helpful, we’ve got stranded because of our Vehicle didn’t start the engine due to the cold weather, so we need to extend for 2days and the staff was very helpful and accommodating they give us everything that we needed. Thankyou!

The most favourable greeting received at any hotel on our tour so far! Sam (the Co-owner) made us feel so welcome, we almost felt part of the family! Sagar also ensured all our needs were met! The “nut” selection offered by Sam was a wonderful gesture - a really special moment!

There was nothing to not like!

i wasn’t up in enough time for the breakfast but the manager and staff were very accommodating, they made sure I had everything I needed for the next leg of my trip

I wasn’t there long enough to really get a good sense. Just went to bed and off early in the morning. I saw that they were doing improvements to the roof and other repairs. This upkeep is always a good thing.

The room was nicer than expected. The breakfast was good and there was quality coffee in the room with a keurig. It was a single room but it was large and comfortable. The staff was nice.

There was a sink stopper that was stuck so water wouldn’t drain from the sink.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Continental breakfast included was a great start to the morning. Beds were comfortable. Great place to stay during our travels.

Carpets could maybe use a deep clean to freshen things up.
