The Rockwell-Harrison Guest Lodge

We loved our room as it was spacious, clean, and well-decorated. The large windows with the view of the lake provided us with beautiful lighting and views of the water all day long. We also loved the breakfast service as Roy and Kristy prepared a hot meal for us every morning. We especially appreciated the snack office that was always well-stocked with tea, hot chocolates, and homemade baked goods.

There wasn't much that we didn't like about the place. If anything, the windows were curtainless (although they do have blinds) and so we were woken up by the sunlight every morning. And one of the bathrobes that were provided for us had a stain spot.

Stunning timber structure building right next to the shore of Harrison lake, bright and beautifully designed by the owners. Access to the property is via the front door of the house into an open plan lounge, where the owners Kristy and Roy and their two dogs greet you more like friends than just guests. There is also a separate access to the guest room area. Our room felt modern and spacious while retaining the traditional timber frame look with exposed warm timber beams and columns. The balcony is perfect for drinking morning coffee, or sipping wine whilst looking out over Lake Harrison. The amenity area adjacent to the guest access is well stocked with Teas, coffee, snacks and beverages, and has a fridge for guests to use. The en-suite shower room is also modern, spacious and stocked with towels and various soaps and gels. Kristy and Roy couldn’t have made us feel more welcome and looked after us so well, even sharing their evening meal with us on the first night when the road into Harrison was shut due to a road accident, preventing us from reaching a restaurant. Breakfast is freshly prepared with local produce, home baked bread great coffee and the best sausages I’ve tasted in years!

loved the location close enough to Harrison Hot Springs to enjoy dinners out yet far enough away to escape the crowds even in the shoulder season and enjoy the peaceful surroundings the attention to detail that Kristy and Roy provided during our brief stay was noted, healthy snacks provided it was evident that they pay close attention to the impact on our environment every little change can make, no single use plastics here the breakfasts were over the top delicious, thank you for the heart you put into your bounty

would like to have made coffee in room before breakfast but that was not a deal breaker, it was provided with pleasure when I asked

Kristy and Roy are the nicest and friendliest hosts! They take care of the building, your comfort, their adorable puppies! They make a great team and together prepare the most fabulous breakfast! The location is very convenient, a few minutes drive to the Village and Hicks Lake and provincial park is right by their house. The suite was super clean and equipped with everything you might need. You have your own back entrance and a kitchen full of treats that you share with other guests. Roy and Kristy are there for you if you need anything or just would like to talk. They also have very friendly and lovely dogs. It was difficult for us to leave, we felt very welcome and will definitely be back soon. Sending hugs to Lucah, Cedric and Kacey!

everything was fabulous

Breakfast every day was simply wonderful. They used all local and fresh ingredients no to mention homemade bread, jam and homemade smoothies. The room that we had provided us with a view of the lake and mountains. Our hosts, Kristy and Roy couldn't have been more accommodating. A wonderful place to stay and we would highly recommend Rockwell-Harrison Guest Lodge.

Beautiful location, so peaceful and quiet, a perfect getaway to relax. Breakfast every morning was sooo good. Hosts are so sweet and attentive. Thanks for everything, we will be back again ;)

I absolutely loved relaxing on the balcony reading but the furniture up there could have been a bit more comfortable 🙂

Overall location and guest rooms. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were lovely and I liked the set up of the guest wing such that it still felt like a private hotel within a bed and breakfast.

Would have liked some advance notice of breakfast options, in case there were preferences that were not to the taste/suitable for guests.

Clean, beautiful home and location. This is my best choice for a quiet and relaxing getaway weekend. Kristy and Roy try their best to accommodate guest needs. Kristy's family receipt cookies are amazing.

The property looks amazing. It is in a fantastic location, close to the beach and the picnic area. The hosts are graciously kind and friendly. They made us tasty breakfasts every morning and treated us like family. Very kind and caring.

I wish there was a mini bar or small fridge in our room. We did have a shared fridge but it would have been more convenient if we had our own. Other than that everything was fantastic.

Kristy and Roy are very friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Their breakfast is superb. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfy. The snack room with coffee, tea and cookies was wonderful to have . The view from our room was so delightful
