Campbell River Lodge by Riverside

It is right on the river and the grounds are beautiful. There are many outside spaces to enjoy the location. The room was small and cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The bathroom could use some updating and could hear the people in the upstairs room.

The overall stay was great - the check in process was fast and easy. The room was clean, quiet, had a lovely view of the river. The hotel was within walking distance to the heart of shopping districts. There were plenty of food options surrounding the area. Overall, it was a perfect place to decompress after a whole summer of hard work.

The only thing was the toilet had low suction so it took a couple tries to flush successfully. I'd have mentioned something to the ready-to-help staff if it were an easier fix - I made do, I only stayed two nights.

AC - we stayed during the heat wave specifically for this Location -- close to downtown and provincial parks Bed -- comfier than expected Hot water and shower pressure - very good Didn't realize there'd be a mini fridge in the room, that was a pleasant surprise

Like most of the other reviews said, the place could use a face lift. You could also hear your neighbors and all their...activities, but generally people were pretty quiet.

The location was magnificent. Right close to all amenities needed and the downtown core, Surrounded by fish jumping from the river view of the lawn area, seals feeding, Kayakers, snorkelers, all enjoying the river all at once. a beautiful view of nature at its best. Price was excellent for the room and view.

Water pressure & possibly taps can be updated a bit.

Best location in Campbell river

Beds like clouds. Stayed at the lodge on two separate occasions within a week. The rooms were clean beds in both rooms superbly comfortable. Host helpful and very accommodating. I would highly recommend a stay here. The facility has an old charm about it. However, very clean and looks out to the river. Cafe close by, only about a 5-10 minute walk.

The room was large. The location was excellent. The facility had plenty of parking.

The bathroom was very small. The room, being so large, had an immense amount of wasted space that could have allowed for a much larger bathroom. I would not have wanted to share the bathroom with another person.

The room was great and the location also. We were diving and had loads of gear and we were accommodated by getting ground floor rooms. The view was fantastic. (When we arrived I immediately recognized the place where three of us stayed many years ago and we went to the restaurant/pub and I had the best stir fry I have ever had.) I would say that the place done need a face-lift as the lobby smelled rather musty. Also along the walkway from parking lot to the rooms there were some "spongy" bits on the floor. We will be back on our next dive trip up to Campbell River. Christina McKee Squamish, BC

When we arrived there was a lot of fish action on the river and a one point there was six seals. View could not be beat. Room was clean just in need of updating, carpet had stains but for the money it was ok. Bed was firm which husband found fine, mine (back) in the am not so good, but better than too soft. Location had easy access to everything.

For the money there really wasn't much to complain about. I would go back and husband wants to try fly fishing now! Sorry we didn't bring Intex boat for a cruise on river, will next time.

They have daily house keeping and the AC runs well. We had a very comfortable stay!

The front desk says they should be open at 8 am but they’re closed until about past 9:30 am. The microwave shared by the entire building is in the lobby and cannot be accessed until they’re open the front door. I wish they can have a common kitchen area that can be accessed anytime. I understand that with the pandemic situation this can be quite challenging, though.
