Hotel Dene & Conference Centre

THEY OFFER THE BEST CRIB!! If you have an infant, you gotta stay at this hotel. We have been travelled and stayed in 3 different hotels so far, and they offered the best crib. Thick yet firm crib mattress too! We really loved our breakfast there too. Freshly cooked pancake was must have. My hubby really liked hashbrowns.

Shower does not have door, so it splashed out of showerbooth. Toilet paper holder does not have closed end so toilet paper fell each and everytime we used it. Shower rack was loose and fell on my hubby. Pool was fine but no towels there. (We really did not enjoy 4 kids owned the pool played really rough even tho we went in there with infant. could not stay too long. it's not hotel's fault tho)

I travel for work and stay at decent amount of hotels and this has by far been my favourite hotel stay! The staff are phenomenal, the hotel is beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and coffee was always available. They pay attention to the little things that make a stay nice; like full sized towels. I also really love that there was a big seating area to enjoy - I was able to both meet with my clients there and get some computer work done later in the evening.

The only minor things I could "complain" about is that the mini fridge was a little small and there is no microwave in the room. That said most people don't bring as much food with them as I do and there was a microwave in the lobby which allowed me to get to know the staff better.

i like how ita got gas store and a casino\ bar that you could meet and have business meetings in both hotel and casino nice comfortable and friendly place vary good service i appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff is

how they treated me at first like i was poor or something like that because of the way i was dressed compared to the 2ed time i when there made me think of other ppl going there and how they should not judge by the way a person is dressed or just because there native

Good location we have stayed at this hotel a few times before and really enjoyed our stay

The 1st room they gave us there were pieces of food on the floor by the desk. the deadbolt didn’t work on the door. The 2nd room had issues, it only had 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 1 face cloth. There were 2 open cakes of soap left in the shower with a 1/2 bottle of shampoo. Also there was toilet tissue left in the toilet. We were looking for the tv remote and couldn’t find it so we went to call the front desk, hotel phone would not work. Went to the front desk, got another tv remote. Next morning when I was making the bed I found the tv remote on the floor between the bed and night stand.

The breakfast very good and fresh. I got mine to go and had it at work. Love the star bucks coffee as well

I know the casino and the hotel are separate I didn't like the fact that they didn't have Wi-Fi at the casino or they wouldn't give me the password but besides that I have no complaints about the hotel at all

No complaints but if I had to say anything , the payment policy is a little odd they charge an extra 250 for damages witch is ok but the keeping it for 7 days is a little out there. It’s the only place I’ve stayed that does that

Hotel Dene is located a short distance from Cold Lake and well worth the visit. Upon entry into the lobby you are taken with the art work of Alex Janvier. The well appointed room had a most comfortable bed, generous work area and cozy seating area. The bathroom, with its European influence, had a large, half- glassed in shower area. The shower had multiple settings from streaming to pulsating pressure which was an appreciated feature. Other facilities in the hotel included a well maintained fitness centre, pool and hot tub. Adjacent to the hotel is the Casino which serves excellent food for an evening meal out. An exceptional overall experience!

nice decor, beds are comfy, rooms are very updated and the breakfast was good!!! close to the casino and a gas station right beside the location. has USB ports by the bed to charge phones and 3 direction clocks!! super cool hotel! we will stay again!

elevator was a little stinky,

The property was clean, the buffet breakfast was amazing. Our kids loved the pool and the fitness area was really great too.

Unfortunately the hotel is pretty secluded and there are no places to eat close by. We were also charged an additional fee for food delivery because it’s too out of town. Other then the casino, there are no walkable attractions.

The beds are extremely comfortable, staff are super friendly, and the pool is a perfect depth for kids to play in.

The only issue is that the restaurant is closed on Sundays, so had to go to Cold Lake to get food so that the family could dine in.
