Days Inn by Wyndham Calgary Airport

Location was great to catch the 19 bus to Rundle Station to catch the blue line train into city hall. Then the red train to the Stampede Tickets cost $3.60cad. The swimming pool was a bonus and very welcome after a long day out. Plenty of eateries close to the hotel.

We booked 2 rooms for ourselves and my brother. He left a day earlier than us, but housekeeping said it was our room that had checked out and wanted us to change rooms when all our gear was unpacked. After a long argument we were given permission to keep our room, which we were thankful of. After heavy downpours a lake appears under the canopy at the entrance to the lobby. This is not only an annoyance, but will be very dangerous in winter. I suggest that this is resolved urgently. Obviously a drainage issue but needs to be rectified before someone is seriously injured.

Conveniently located, good value, breakfast was hot and well stocked, bed linens were very soft, room size was reasonable, rooms stocked with Dove bathroom products is a nice touch

Areas of the room and hotel had been updated but other areas had not eg: new bathroom and entrance flooring but old less clean carpet in bed area Slide is too big/powerful for the pool/the pool is too small for the size of the slide resulting in my daughter getting a black eye from a kid flying out the end of the slide Beds were a little hard but the linens were soft

It’s in a great location. Close to restaurants, shopping. It has a pool and hot tub and is pet friendly

I didn’t like that I paid cash for several nights. Then the employee didn’t put the money in the till and she acted like I didn’t pay. I was furious. They said they found the money after lunch. Even though the manager came in at 9 am. They never gave a receipt and say you’ll get a receipt when you check out. Don’t trust it. Even get a screen shot of the cash amount you paid and get them to put it on the top corner of the sheet and initial it.

Close to the mall, clean, quiet and the lady at the front desk who checked us in on November 29 was great to deal with, pleasant, smart and efficient with very positive energy. They also have pet friendly rooms which was a critical factor to us. If you do stay here with your pets, please try to be civilized and not ruin it for the rest of us.

We liked everything this hotel was great for us. The only things I would suggest is that mini fridges and microwaves be available to rent upon request. I understand that some people are filthy pigs who don't deserve to eat in their rooms, which is why I'd be willing to pay for the rental so as to offset the cost of cleaning up after slobs.

Staff was excellent. Bed was very comfortable and my room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was good with fruit, sausages, hashbrowns, bread options, muffins, coffee, etc. It's an older hotel so it was a little worn looking overall but good value for the price.

I was surprised to see minimal toiletries. Only one bar of soap, little travel bottle of Dove body lotion and small box with qtips and things by bathroom sink. I could not bath, only shower because body wash and shampoo were wall mounted at shower height.

Location is perfect for just passing through. Room is always nice and clean. Excellent room with the extra long table / dresser top and extra stools tucked under so that more than one can use the desk at once. Appreciate changing the travel size shampoo / conditioner / body wash to full size pumps. Less plastic and less waste.

Was quite dry in the room causing dry throats and static. I need a pillow that is much flatter. Both of these are common to every hotel room I have stayed in. Didn't use the pool or even stay for breakfast this time so I did not rate "the facilities".

The front staff "Cherry" was very professional, courteous, and friendly. The customer service from the greeting, to booking us in, to providing information about staying at the hotel, addressing questions, communication during our visit was amazing and phonaminal. The Room was clean, spacious, modern, lots of lights and welcoming. For a continental breakfast, there was quite a bit of selection. The lady was very professional, presentational, attentive to the concerns of hotel visitors (the waffle machine stopped working)

No towels in the pool area which is minor as the front desk is there to provide if needed.

Breakfast was good, always nice when it’s included with the room charge. Pool was great, exception was, it would appear that the hotel has an outside party providing swimming lessons to non hotel guests. Location was also perfect for our trip itinerary.

We booked a room from Sunday to Friday and not once did we have the room made up, restocked cups, recycling box emptied, we weren’t even asked if we wanted the room freshened.

Price! The check-in and check-out process was fast and easy. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the free breakfast for all members of my family without extra charge. It was very cold the night we stayed, glad parking spaces had outlets for my engine plug. There are some nearby shopping area and grocery stores in case you need something for your stay.

Some of the parking spaces in the front could have used some snow clearing. You will need a car to get around the city because it's quite far from the city centre, but it's understandable because of the good rates.

The staff is nice and helpful. I liked that is was close to alot of shops and attractions such as the zoo, Telus spark, fort Calgary and that LRT.

I didn't like that your on a major road so lots of road noise and air traffic noise overhead. The price was a bit pricey, but it was also stampede time. I wish they had a direct shuttle to the Stampede as the LRT you have to change from the blue to red line, it's not direct. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special.
