Very comfortable bed very quite motel and big room very clean plenty of parking

Pillows could be better and some dishes and cutlery could be provided

WOW! pleasantly surprised is an understatement when you enter these new rooms at the Dorothy! Clean, bright, and very well-appointed rooms for today's modern family adventure-seekers! Super-comfy beds and excellent dimmable LED lighting. Everything is well thought out and warm in feel. You can pull up to your door on the main floor rooms and easily unload/ load your family kit & gear. The back courtyard has tables and a bike tune station. Great for setting up your portable BBQ too!

Honestly not much and this list is more of a wish list than a gripe or complaint! But the shower stall could easily be a bit bigger for the available space and a communal BBQ would be nice as well in the back courtyard otherwise this place is an exceptional value. Our for sure go to Hotel/ motel moving forward when staying/ playing in Banff!

The bed was super comfy. The shower was large and great to use. The room was a good size and we found it to be clean and comfortable. The location was a little way from the main town centre, but we enjoyed this, as it was a nice walk each day to go to the various activities we had planned or to do some shopping. We liked the setting, backing onto some pine trees, and it was handy being close to a small shop, if we needed something small, like a carton of milk.

A bit disconcerting that there was no staff actually there, but we were given adequate instructions of how to collect key and access any assistance. We needed to get someone to organise a plumber, as the toilet developed a leak.

Location is great, literally a 30 second - 1 minute walk from the Roam bus stop into downtown Banff but is far enough away from the hubbub to feel closer to nature. And if you miss the bus, downtown Banff is only about a 20 minute walk away. The room service is excellent as well, always came back to a re-dressed and resupplied room.

I wouldn't call the restroom small, because there was enough space for everything, but I would've wished it was just a tad larger. Not a deal breaker by any means though.

Property was in decent area. Had problems with construction workers parking in our lot during the day- no parking until after 5 usually. Quiet location as well. Close to the major road, Banff Avenue. Quite a walk to get places, but we felt very safe and appreciated the exercise walking. Great location for the bus pick up though. We got free bus passes during our stay! Comfortable and clean in the room.

No front desk. Could not phone anyone- no one answered the phone when I called the number given on the Dorothy Motel app. The mobile check in worked and my credit card got charged. But the mobile app did not work for my phone to open the door. Had to walk to the front desk at the Caribou Hotel to get keys to get us in. And walk back. It was good that we did 3 days of free bus passes from the Dorothy!

Clean motel, upgraded rooms, one of the more economical options in Banff, good coffee and mugs in room (although would be nice to get a free keepsake mug!), the check in staff at the Banff Caribou were friendly and helpful, has a courtyard but we didn't check it out, give you free ROAM local bus passes for your stay (you may have to ask for them at check-in)

It's actually a 20 minute walk to downtown Banff, not a great view from our room, no front desk, room cleaning was a bit late in the day (we got back to our room around 3pm for a break and they were still cleaning ours but we were at the end of the hallway); no elevators and lots of stairs to carry up your bag! Parking spots can be tight though we always found a spot. Not great value for your money but it's Banff in high season! Room for 4 people only has a table that can seat 2. Shower door design is not great - seems to result in pooling water on the floor.

I didn't receive any email about checkin 48 hours before as was mentioned. Our flight was delayed and we reached Banff at 11pm. We had to go to the Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa that late in the winter to get the access card for the room. The staff gave us the wrong access card and we had to go back to get the correct access card. It was quite a bit of problem for us as we were tired after the long flight and drive in the chilling cold. I sent a message and complained about it and to my pleasant surprise a lady called us in the following morning and apologized for the inconvenience. She also offered us complimentary breakfast for 2 days. Again on the last day, they offered us a discount on the room rate. It was an amazing gesture, not because I saved about $120 but because the hotel authorities actually acknowledged their mistake and tried a lot to make our stay comfortable. It is one of the nicest hotel I stayed so far. I booked here for 2 days as I thought it's a normal motel and wanted to stay in a good hotel in the second half of my Banff journey. But I really regretted my decision and the Dorothy motel was quite better than the more expensive hotel where I stayed afterwards. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Banff next time.

What a wonderful little gem in the heart of Banff National Park. This is a small property with parking right outside your door. We felt very comfortable. The rooms are impeccable with cleanliness, comfort, amenities like locally made bath products. We spent a whole week here and truly felt like we were in our home away from home. They do not have a front desk onsite but the partner property, the Caribou Hotel, was very attentive upon check in, letting us use their facilities while our room was ready, and addressed night time noise one night very promptly. We were more than satisfied and will happily return to this property in the future.

Best stay of our whole roadtrip. Maybe its a european thing, but when i think motel i certainly dont think glamorous. The place was spacious, well maintained, modern decor, large bathroom, all the facilites you could require including a nice balcony. Really cool space. Location is great, bit of a walk into the tourist part of town, but definitely doable and there's also a bus. The propert is on the outskirts and we even saw some wildlife quite nearby. The associated hotel had great facilities on offer and we were able to use their sauna and have coffee in their lounge in the mornings. They also issued transport passes to use thelocal bus service. I wasnt expecting any of that so i was very pleased! We used the restaurant on one night of our stay (at additional charge of course), but the food and staff were excellent there too. 100% would stay again and recommend

There was allocated parking, but a tourbus took up quite a lot of spaces, as we travelled out during the day, we did find we had to park on the road (free for 12 hours at a time so not a massive problem). Cannot fault the property or the company at all.

Still on the main strip in Banff but a bit further from the main crowds for some peace and quiet. Amazing stay, one of the best I’ve been in and truly beat any airbnb. Very clean, comforting. Bathroom floors seem to be heated which is super cool and a very luxurious touch! I always love to see hotels and booking properties using Rocky Mountain bathroom products, such an adorable touch. Awesome bonus was the safe and the mini fridge.

Everything was exceptional. If I had any requests I might say I wish there was cutlery but it did not have a major effect on our stay.
