Hilton Barbados Resort

Location was great, with great accessibilty as was the beach. Staff were friendly especially at reception and breakfast. We were relocated on Day 2 to an incredible beach/pool view on the southern block. Breakfast was excellent as were the sunset cocktails. Free Turtle snorkelling outside the hotel grounds, horses at 6am and some really nice food stalls (outside the hotel) Cuz’s Marlin sandwiches, next to the beach cocktail van (The Happy Hour Spot) and Lobster Alive Sunday lunch with love music on the beach, 15mins walk north, were highlights.

We’ll put it down to Covid and restrictions, but the pool side staff could be more cheerful and attentive. Don’t accept a north facing room over the carpark and service area - that's not why you book a Caribbean trip or on an anniversary.

Location is perfect.

The beach right outside isn't the best for swimming. But Carlisle Bay is round the corner and that's the best beach on the island. Food in hotel is quite expensive and options aren't very good.

Splendid location but still need a taxi to reach Bridgetown center. Curiously, there are no hotels in the city and the Hilton and the Radisson were the two closest to the city. The food was excellent. The Coast to Coast day tour that I organized through the hotel was very good.

Check out time at 11:00 is too early. Most flights out of Barbados are in the afternoon and gusts have to vacate their rooms many hours before they have to go to the airport. My request for a late check-out was denied. the convenience store in the hotel closed at 5 PM and was not open at all on Sunday. difficult to find well stocked grocery stores in the vicinity of the hotel

Great location Nice pools lovely large clean rooms with a lovely shower and balcony and very comfortable beds. The view of the beach and the sea from the balcony was lovely!

The on-site coffee shop, Cuppa Cafe, said it closed at 9pm but one evening when we arrived at 8:30pm they said they had started cleaning the coffee machine and they were not now serving coffees! The member of staff serving was a bit blunt and unapologetic. other nights we’d called at that time and had a lovely coffee to cap off the evening but not this evening! Disappointing end to a pleasant day! The sea at Needhams Point was a little rough for less confident swimmers but Pebbles beach in Carlisle Bay is nearby and is much calmer so this can be overcome.

The Location and private beach area are stunning. Everything you would imagine a carribean holiday to be. There are a couple of pools, one mainly used by the kids and another for adults (although I didn't see any signs specifically saying that). Plenty of sun loungers and a nice pool bar which was reasonable during happy hour. The foyer is open and airy with a snack bar/coffee shop and small shop for essentials. Several Dining option available. We loved the beach restaurant along the beach but not sure if this was an independent operation or part of the hotel. Bu tit is in the grounds.

Our luck was that there was maintenance going on along our corridor which meant things didn't look great. But I'm sure they look good for guests arriving after us. Just our luck! Clearly the place caters for conferences and there were a number of "corporates" in who were pretty inconsiderate to other guests. Not the hotels fault, but annoying.

Great pools, although I didn’t see any hot tub even though it said so in the booking.com site.

Not enough loungers by the pool and at the beach. Also what bugged me the most is that when booking through the booking.com site I paid for breakfast included. However, it was not included, instead there was a 25 dollar/person/ night credit to use, and this didn’t cover the cost of the breakfast. Also didn’t like the rats in the evenings.

Room was large, comfortable, very clean with good air conditioning. Hotel is well located although walking to most good restaurants is dangerous at night as there are no good sidewalks. Beautiful views!

Restaurant options or room service is not available late at night. We arrived at 10:00 PM from the airport and the only option was a couple of salads at the bar.

The Hotel is very clean, 2 big pools and a smaller kiddy pool , really convenient to walk to everything. Staff were amazing, willing to help anytime. Rooms were very clean, I feel they could do more towards saving the planet , like not cleaning every day maybe every other day..

The water is rough and seaweed was coming in but if you walked 10 min towards the west , the Caribbean sea is amazing! Carlisle Bay is right there and if you go snorkeling you can see turtles! I wish they kept the downstairs bar open until late sa we could dine and drink close to the beach.

Beautiful views from the rooms with a spacious balcony, greats outdoor pools for both children and adults over looking the beautiful Carribbean sea. The resort is also located right on a golden sandy beach front if you prefer to swim in the sea.

All the food outlets at the resort are very expensive and it's a bit to far from town to just walk out to local shops for bottled water ect.

The room was good and we did have our view of the bay but this also included a view of a couple of skips and the car park.

The complicated invoice system was very frustrating. The room rate seemed to chance almost every night which I never fully understood. My booking confirmation also said breakfast was $US20 pp but when we had breakfast we were charged almost double this amount. The reception said this was a mistake by booking.com but this was another dispute on the charging which upset us.
