Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Shower had great water pressure and nice hot water. Breakfast wasn't available at the hotel, but we found a great spot just around the corner. Meal at the Balcony restaurant was amazing - not cheap, but great food and great cocktails. Conveniently located right in the middle of town. Some great entertainment from the lovely balcony (if you're into people watching!)

Off street parking lot was full. Had to park in front of the hotel and move vehicle before monitored parking started in the morning. The building is old, and the walls are thin. There was a lot of noise from people moving up and down the hallway, and you could hear people talking in adjacent rooms. Not a good place to stay if you're a light sleeper.

If you want a traditional Goldfields pub experience this is the place: from upstairs pub hallways to the squeaky floorboards, grandiose staircase and fading carpets. Rooms have been revamped but maintain the vibe. The chance to sit on the verandah and look out at life in a mining town is special. Downstairs bar area keeps you on the journey. Food at the bar and in the restaraunt is very good.

Car parking. While you can park you car off road some distance from the hotel, parking nearby is on the street, which can be problematic during weekday parking 'hour'restrictions'.

Checkin was easy inside the Irish pub. The suites were located in the building next door and had a few historical touches which was nice. The rooms were spacious and clean and secure. Great being next to a pub to grab a drink and dinner.

The parking was a little insecure but immediately adjacent to the room. The room fronted directly onto the street and had a large crack in the glass but it did look secure enough. Was a little worried about noise from outside or adjoining rooms but once in the bedrooms with the door shut it was very quiet.

Excellent location right in the heart of town. 2 very good restaurants on premise, with others just a short walk away. The place is exactly what you would expect from a pub that is over 150 years old. the floor boards might creak a bit but the comfort level was high.

There was nowhere in the bathroom to hang the wet towels, We ended up having to dry them out on the balcony. Neither was there anywhere to put your clean clothes in the bathroom.

asking for a suit not realising it opened directly onto the main street. It does allow for easy suitcase. I dont think there is a lift in the building . The 2 rooms are extremely large. A MUCH brighter light globe is required in the sitting room. NO way can one read a magazine or book with the central weak light globe. The bathroom space was an unusual space. The hand basin was recessed into the wall making for shaving or makeup absolutely appalling re lighting & was just large enough to clean your teeth. The whole bathroom area could have been wider as the bedroom space is large. An old building can be difficult to renovate. Bar/restaurant had a good menu. Bed nice & large

The poor room lighting. The poky recessed handbasin & poorly redesigned bathroom. AND a nice leather couch that needs to be re sprung- one disappeared into it. To fill the kettle one of the cups was required as the handbasin is so small.

Old, classic original Aussie hotel Beautiful architecture Room was refurbished with a balcony in a quiet end of the building We didn't hear any noise at all from the restaurant and bars downstairs Comfortable bed , warm and cosy room Hot water and pressure was good in shower Central location for walking everywhere

Its a beautiful , old building but just needs maintenance on outside to keep up the heritage appearance on the Hannans st side Just small things like painting inside to keep it looking grand

The food options at The Palace were exceptional. Great food, extensive menu. We ate breakfasts, lunches and dinners there during our stay and all choices were top class. The staff were fabulous, each and everyone of them presented well and were good fun to chat to.

The noise levels overnight were at times quite excessive. The Palace is popular and busy. We should have considered our needs more closely before booking.

The hotel has a great location and we enjoyed the classic features of a country hotel including the verandahs, sweeping staircases and high ceilings. There was a great sound proof door between the bed and verandah so there was no street noise during the night. We ate at the hotel as well which was very convenient.

It was a little difficult to find the reception and then there seemed to be no one staffing the reception when we arrived.

The room was very big, recently renovated and comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient, central location. The hotel is very old but has a lot of character.

The hotel was a bit run down and there appeared to be very few other people staying there. The price of the room was very expensive for the overall standard of the hotel.

A lovely vintage property in the middle of Kalgoorlie. Had a lovely large room with lots of space for three people. Rooms are a little dated but still very functional. Hotel has a two bars and a restaurant attached. The restaurant is very nice and does some lovely food.

The room was a little dated and I think the price we payed was on the expensive side for what you get. But like a lot of things in Kalgoorlie they are in the expensive side.
