Ocean Centre Hotel

Did not eat at the hotel as we were visiting our grandchildren participating in little athletics so we were grab and go maccas

The free beverage was really meant for younger people. Designer beers are really not that palatable for mature people. I really think you should have at least normal beer like Carlton on tap instead of just those horrible beers. Also the mirror in our room 211 if your in bed at your husband doesn't shut thr door to go to the toilet you watch the show. I think if the mirror was on the otherside of that table it would be better a extra chair also then you could eat at that table.

The staff were friendly, room was clean and a great location.

The only thing that disappointed me was the fact I specifically booked a hotel with secure parking , I booked this one as it states secure parking. Only to find out when you get there that there is only 45 spots and it's first come first served and you have to park on the street away from the hotel. I was travelling and had lots of belongings , I didn't want to be lugging that up the main street. So I don't think you should advertise secure parking if that's not the case.

Staff in all areas of this accommodation were very welcoming and engaged with guests. Great position close to and in most cases easy walk to amenities and attractions. Good breakfast options.Clean and tidy room.

Whilst our room was paid for on checkin, on checking out we were advised there was an additional cost for our stay, and to do, in some way, because of our booking through Booking.com and their fees, maybe! To the staff's credit, we were able to work through and resolve, with the original Booking.com price standing.

Excellent service provided by Trudi, the receptionist. When I shared about how I was craving for pasta, she did not just provide recommendations, but also went ahead to secure a booking for us because it could get crowded. She made sure we had everything we needed and remembered our names when we passed by the reception. Thank you for making our stay so amazing! Also kudos to the housekeeping staff who smiled and greeted us. Thank you for making this stay so enjoyable.

Staff were excellent. Location excellent. Breakfast delicious. Room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the foreshore. Bed was very comfy.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The smell was very strong. There was a small milk carton in the fridge for coffee and tea but it had already been opened and was half used. We were offered an exchange room which we declined and settled for some air freshener spray to try and reduce the smell. The staff were very considerate to us.

Really well decorated and set up with excellent bathroom. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Ordering the food in the bar worked well with delivery from a local restaurant. Fab location where you could watch the sunset from the bar.

Only disappointment was the location of my room which was half below ground. Not a major problem for a one night stay but I imagine would be a little gloomy for a longer stay.

I loved the beach front location and being able to watch the sunset from our balcony. It was great being able to walk everywhere from the hotel.

We enjoyed having a drink in the bar on Monday evening. We found it disappointing however that there was no food available to go with our drink and we were not able to bring food in. We would have loved to have purchased some bar snacks eg a cheese platter.

I slept so well. The bed was so comfortable.

Our room 202 is next to the door into the hallway and the door is squeaky and we could hear the noise from inside our room every time the door was opened. We understand that there was a renovation but there was a portable toilet out side but it was in front of our balcony when looking out the view/ocean. It was a shame, other than that we would have enjoyed the view more.

Delicious breakfasts, Loved sitting out on the balcony watching the boats coming in and out also the happenings on the foreshore, I thought the colour of the carpets mirrored the ocean colours beautifully, the local wall artwork was lovely, Staff very friendly and helpful

parking was just a bit too tight but good that it was secure

Location, ocean view with balcony. Room good size. Comfortable bed. Bright and airy room. Breakfast tasty. Coffee machine in room good. Complementary drinks generous. Water pressure and temperature good in shower.

Shower needs something to stop the water leaving the shower space and covering the whole floor in the bathroom. This may lead to unintentional damage. I would have liked some more relevant tourist info. With maps especially where wildflower can be seen
