Hilton Garden Inn Albany, WA

The location is wonderful, just next to the port. The reception staff (Sarah and another gentleman) are well trained and very friendly and helpful. The facilities are nearly clean, new and in excellent condition. one thing I have to mention is the sofa bed.it’s well designed to suit extra person which is wonderful for a family with one or two little kids.

only thing I could think about is the housekeeping service. We stayed four night and only had once clean. It’s understandable that these time of the year is super busy (fully booked out). I am sure if not as busy as this weekend, they would provide advanced service as well.

Clean and beautiful rooms, body wash and shampoos provided. Breakfast had excellent selection of food and beverages for everyone. All staff are polite, professional and absolutely amazing people. 24hour Bar and in house convenience store a great idea. Great location, comfy beds and just a real pleasant stay. One thing that would be great is if you could cast from your phone to the tv or enable people to log into their streaming accounts by activating the streaming apps already built into the tv. I would return there in a heart beat

It's a newish hotel and in great condition. I like the 'buy your own minibar' concept at reception. I didn't use it, but I understood it and it made sense. I also liked the Call & Collect 'room service'. The menu is fairly small but adequate. Best hot chips I've had for a long time came with my Mobley Burger. Fantastic location, although the days I were there were very windy (it's Albany!). But the walk along the marina was great.

The listing on Booking.com currently says that the rooms have coffee machines. They don't. I found that disappointing as the alternative was the two thiny coffee sachets. Sugar was not replaced in my room after I used it. Also, I could not get the air con to do what I wanted (rm 317). I forgot to mention it to staff, but it was almost like it was not working. It seemed to have a mind of its own.

Spacious rooms. Clean and well maintained. The little Bar and Coffee station downstairs I Reception was just what we needed several times especially on Xmas Eve when almost nothing was open. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Would have liked windows that opened though!

It is a bit stark on the water front area and could do with some landscaping or softening. Outdoor seating! Pot plants? Only there briefly and hardly walked around much but felt this is one area of possible improvement. Also luggage scales for travelling visitors who fly in and out!! Would have been very useful!!

I must admit, at first I thought we were walking into a Clinical Surgery, everything was finished in white, with apparently little Character, I couldn't have been more wrong. The Staff were tremendous, beaming warmth and friendliness at all times, bringing colour and cheer to the Facility, talking of which, the facilities were absolutely brilliant. The location could not be any better, absolutely bang on the front, and almost central to Town, everything within walking distance; although the journey back from the Earl of Spencer Pub, seemed at least three times further than the one going there. Yes, there's Theakston Old Peculiar on draught, plus a great selection of local Ales, what a wonderful place. Plenty of Parking, and absolutely so much to see, we will definitely be returning here!!! Albany can be a tad of a run to get to, please do not miss out on this absolute Gem!!!

The fact that we didn't have at least another week to stay here, the next visit we will certainly schedule more time.

The location and the beautiful ocean view from my hotel room. It was a very short walk to town and right on the water. The hotel is new and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable.

There was no room service. This was a big let down, given the cost. I arrived exhausted after a long drive and was told I could order from the hotel restaurant and carry my own tray up. On the morning I left there were two hotel guests juggling their breakfast on trays in the lift and unable to swipe their card to go to their floor as their hands were full. We made a joke about it and swiped for them.

Room service crew needs training. They missed to clean our room on the second day. The restaurant manager ( Italian bold gentleman) was very serious and did not smile to us or our children. He put us on a table at the restaurant and then asked us to change the table as he remembered that someone has booked it😞

Overall, a comprehensive breakfast selection. Eggs & omelettes cooked to order. Very tasty Bircher muesli. Decent coffee from self serve machine. Efficient service. Beds were fabulous. No noise heard in our room which was close to lifts (rm 111) and above function room.. Staff polite, professional and helpful.

Sunday morning's hot food offerings were tired and cool by 9am. No Hollandaise sauce to make an Eggs Benedict. No Salmon or avocado available. Sourdough bread was not very authentic - bit dry.

a small incident but one which stuck in my mind: a waiter accidentally knocked the cutlery off the table onto the floor . He then picked the cutlery up and placed them back on the table without replacing them with a clean set. One of the chefs spilled some fries into the preparation table while pouring them into a bowl. She then picked them up with her bare hands and placed them back into the bowl with the other fries and served them to the guests. She also picked up butter with her hands to place them on the steaks. She did not wear gloves or use tongs .
