The Carrington Hotel

It’s a stunning hotel, presents very well.

There was no support to get bags up the stairs (i.e. no bell staff or elevators).

The hotel is very clean and the rooms large and comfortable with bright decor. The staff were excellent and the restaurant also provided good food. We enjoyed both a dinner and breakfast at the hotel.

The pillows were all very soft - a matter of taste and would suit many people. The hotel is also a little distance (about a kilometre) from the centre of town. Whilst fine to walk when not hot it is a little bit far when hot and humid, especially if walking into town for dinner. That said the hotel is directly across from a small lake which makes for a more pleasant location.

Such a cute and comfortable hotel. Great location, close to everything. Their restaurant is a must try, the food was delicious and fresh! Staff were lovely and very accomodating. Stayed there with our 3 kids twice during the summer holidays and will be back again for sure..It has become one if our favourite destination when traveling around Victoria.

Lovely balcony and view over water. large spacious room, very comfortable bed, large TV, good shower in spacious bathroom, very friendly and helpful receptionist on arrival.

was woken at 4am by noisy people in the adjacent room. would have appreciated a microwave in the room. Ice maker in fridge was frozen into the thick layer of ice so couldn’t make ice cubes. Small bottle of water was priced at nearly $4 when most accommodation offer free bottle of water, glad I checked the price before assuming it was complimentary.

We liked the room and found it very comfortable and quiet. The bed was so comfortable but we found the doona a bit too warm. Fortunately we were able to find a lighter basket in the cupboard and the rest of the night was much more comfortable.

It would have been good to have some biscuits to nibble when we had our cups of tea.

Totally LOVED the location of the Hotel. Right across the road from the lake, a perfect destination for a walk with a comfortable walking track circumnavigating the lake, approx 2km in distance. There is even fitness equipment to use on the other side of the lake:) Recommend taking the 10-minute walk into the town centre to avoid finding a car park. Seeing the awesome Street Art, Moooving Art display and going to a great cafe with great coffee is a must whilst staying at the Carrington. The reception staff and wait staff in the dining room for super friendly and awesome to chat with. Our regret is that we didn't get our waiter's name but he just lovely. The on site restaurant is perfect for an evening meal and breakfast with views to the lake. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would easily stay here again. Wished we could have stayed longer!

Just Incredible. We got to meet Mary the owner too, she should be so proud, her staff really do her and the accommodation justice. We also had a lovely meal at the restaurant too, the waitress and the waiter that had been on Wednesday night absolutely lovely, the waitress was extremely welcoming and just so friendly (this is so rear these days). HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone travelling for holidays or work. We look forward to when our clients need us back in Shepparton as this will be pur point of call from now on. Thank you to the lovely team.

Beautifully appointed room, with parking outside. Just perfect. Restaurant was awesome, very good service and the food was delicious. Right across the road from a lake which was perfect for a morning stroll.

Nothing, the pool looked inviting but it was too cold.

The room was big and comfy. Especially appreciated the oversized armchair, balcony and makeup mirror in the bathroom. Love love loved the pool! I ate dinner at the restaurant and the lamb rack was the best I've ever had. Customer service was great all round.

Easy to find, lots of parking, friendly staff. An extremely comfortable bed with luxury sheets & towels. Extremely clean.

The rooms inside are on the side of the highway. You can hear the traffic in the morning but as the beds are so comfortable you are rested from a great sleep.
