Clarion Hotel Townsville

extremely comfortable large beds. Rooms were spacious and a good size bathroom and sink also liked that we had a table we could sit out to eat meals and a desk too. I liked that it was very secure with swipe card entry to foyer and lifts and it had on site parking. very friendly staff and super cold AC.

no microwave or toaster was tricky for meal reheats or breakfast but didn’t bother us too much for our short stay. The fridge wasn’t overly cold at all and no freezer compartment for ice was a little disappointing. hot water took about 5 minutes to come through to shower and pressure wasn’t very good. the lighting in the kitchen bed and lounge areas are very dim with no option to make it brighter which was a bit annoying.

Room was spacious and very clean and modern. Woolworth was so close and very handy. All the staff, specially Dylan was exceptional!! So helpful and great customer service!!

We went to Townsville for our kids soccer tournament. And I need to wash his soccer gear everyday. It was great they had common room where we could use the washing machine but it didn’t work SPIN - which was the only sad part of our stay.

The room was very clean and spacious. It had a very comfortable extra large bed. The shower was a good size as well in a modern bathroom.It is located close to amenities. A small shopping centre is only about two hundred metres away and a restaurant/cafe is right next door, which I think is part of the hotel.

Great room layout with heaps of power outlets…two on each side of the bed, in bathroom, near table. It was also close to shops and opposite the Police HQ making you feel safe. There was also a full size kitchen, washing machine and dryer free to use in a separate room on the floor.

The bed was too soft for me as every time I was near the edge, it felt I was going to fall off 😢 Mini bar needed more shelves to hold drinks etc.

I liked how the hotel is close to everything in the city. My partner and I ended up walking everywhere since it's a nice walk to everything we wanted to do in the City. The room itself was good too - nice bathroom with some trendy lighting. The bed was very comfy. The room neat and tidy too.

The beds were absolutely comfortable that I did not want to wake up but unfortunately for the check out at 10am, both my 1yr old & I had to get up get ready & leave. Overall loved it ! Would definitely come back.

Probably just the tight squeeze in the parking lot but I managed thank you!

Location was definitely a factor for us. We noted distance to football stadium for future visits when NRL season commences and Clarion Hotel will be our choice to stay.

Weather was the only downside but it is nth Qld so that's a given.

The front desk staff was very lovely. He was very apologetic for the booking mixup and willingly discounted our first night stay and upgraded the next two nights stay. Bed was very comfy.

Washing machine ruined my son’s basketball jersey 😅

Addition of a coffee machine in the room with coffee pods was a really nice touch and really appreciated. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on and pillows were really nice as well. Large bathroom with nice fixtures. Lots of charging points and USB charging points which was great for our kids to charge their devices.

Unfortunately restaurant at the facility was closed, looks like it will be reopening soon though :-). Lighting in the room was a little dark. Car parking for larger cars was a little tight.

Good location and good value for money. There were shared laundry and kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster) available. The room had complimentary water bottles and Nespresso coffee.

The air conditioner output seemed small for the generously sized room, but not a dealbreaker.
