Goldfields Hotel Motel

At first, we were a little concerned when the GPS brought us to the bottle shop at peak hour! However, the staff were very friendly, the rooms was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A delicious dinner and a drink were only a few steps away in the pub restaurant and our car was safely locked away overnight.

The initial arrival was a surprise, but don't judge a book by its cover- the hotel rooms out the back were perfectly fine and the staff made us feel very welcome. You are in the main street with a brand new IGA supermarket just across the road. The car park has a metal gate that is locked at night.

The rooms are clean and well appointed. The meals are well priced and served in a timely manner. I accidently left a bag containing expensive electronic equipment. The housekeeper found the items in the room and the owner contacted me. By this time, I was over 400klm away. The owner mailed the items to my nominated address and just said pay me for the postage when it arrives. The items arrived within a week. Highly recommend the hotel.

Unfortunately, the town is not a place you can walk in at night. But we had secure parking which waws great.

We arrived late after travelling from Darwin and we were provided with easy access to keys in a safe near our room and were given a code and clear instructions. The rooms were cheerful, comfortable and super clean. Kettle, toaster, microwave and mini fridge are included as well as tea and instant coffee and milk. The beds were comfortable and I was really happy with the shower pressure. We only briefly saw staff due to our late arrival and only staying one night before heading off again, but those we did see were very friendly. and I appreciated being given the info about collecting the keys beforehand so I didn't have to worry about what to do when we got there. The complex felt safe which is important given the area. I would definitely stay here again if travelling through Tennant Creek.

A very good stopover option in Tennant Creek. This is the second time I have stayed here and I will stay here again whenever I travel through Tennant Creek. Initial impressions can be daunting depending on your time of arrival but the motel has a good atmospheres, feels secure, and it is close to several eating options.

Nil. This is a basic motel motel but completely adequate for an overnight stopover.

The rooms were well catered for and comfortable. We had a private and quiet corner in the block of motel units at the back of the hotel on the street. Easy and secure parking available. Staff were friendly and quick to provide assistance. The motel units were across the road from a reasonably priced Chinese restaurant that provided excellent food.

Coming in to the accommodation was a little disconcerting as the reception was inside the hotel itself and lent a wrong starting impression to the actual experience.

Don't let the street view scare you. The rooms are really nice and well kept. Best smelling room on the whole of my trip. Clean and comfortable. Dining Room looks beter from the inside and food was real good.

Environment might be noisy and somewhat unfriendly, but (to me) never really threatening. And the parking lot is closed at night.

It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The shower was great, bed comfortable and it had a microwave.

The plumbing was a little noisy and line of aborigines at the gate lined up for their beer very off putting.

Never judge a book by it's cover. Walking in to the pub to collect the key was a bit of a 'fright' but we were pleasantly surprised when we opened our room door. It was spotless and attention to detail is what impressed me as an ex cleaner.

It was quite noisy when we arrived but the Manager said he was closing the pub at 4 pm. We were tired after a 7 hour drive from Mt. Isa so we needed the rest.

Excellent, friendly staff. The hotel manager is a very busy fellow, equally helpful and obliging. We stayed twice, once on our journey up to Darwin and then again on our return journey. On our return trip, the hotel was booked out but the manager was able to find a room for us and eventually to accommodate our request for a ground floor room. The meals were great, beer good, nice wine selection and good friendly ambience.. Plenty of (free) car parking (in secure compound).

Neither my wife nor I can think of anything adverse to say. If we are back that way, we would stay again and have no hesitation in recommending the hotel, food, staff and accommodation to anyone.

Excellent. Easy to find. Quiet area. Great technology without having to have a reception on site.

There were workers on the roof above our room first thing in the morning. Would have been nice if they weren't there, but this isn't a complaint.
