Beaches Serviced Apartments

Location was perfect, walking distance from the beach. The styling of the tiles, kitchen and bathroom were beautiful. Loved the kitchen bench tops. Was easy to book online. The living area was a nice space, the lounge very comfortable. Staff were very helpful with navigating around town.

First night, there was no hot water. Second night the hot water ran out really quickly. Parking was awkward, knowing how to park. The door does not lock automatically behind you, like the sign said on the back of the door. Found it strange that we were not in the same complex. Took half a hour to actually figure out where the unit was. Curtains are definitely not black out curtains. Can hear people walking around upstairs. The toilet seat doesn’t actually fit the toilet. The mattress was very hard to sleep on.

The unit was very clean, comfortable and appointed with the necessities. Although a little dated, it was very comfortable. For me, the price was right, and when I arrived I found the location to be extremely easy to get around to other areas to tour.

It is unfortunate that there are not a few more restaurants close by. I know with the kitchen in the unit many may cook there but I preferred to have restaurant takeaway. Also, the dating of the unit, although exceptionally clean, it was dated with two tap faucets and just the whole complex age. Not a biggie or a deal breaker though.

We thought the apartment was really well set up with things we didn't expect to have, e.g. scissors, foil wrap, cling wrap, washing powder, coffee machine, salt and pepper. All these little things show that the owners want you to be as comfortable and feel at home as possible. The apartment was very roomy and liveable. The dishwasher, washing machine and dryer were all very welcome.

We found it tricky to find the wall mount where you put the key tag in - the little notice on wall is not what you see/read when you're looking everywhere for the wall mount!

Property was clean and had sufficient facilities for family needs. The property managers were friendly and willing to accommodate.

The property manager did not offer regular service of cleaning/changing linens in the bedroom during 3 day stay. Their response was it was a discounted booking through Booking.com and therefore, not a regular booking for cleaning. This should be specifically mentioned. However, on request they changed a bedsheet for one room.

so glad I chose to stay here! I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was considering the price point. The apartments are modern enough (others said they were dated but I didn’t think so), there is everything you need for cooking etc, salt and pepper provided, coffee/tea/sugar - although if you’re staying longer than 2 nights you’d want to take your own along. The view over the pool was lovely and the location couldn’t be better. It’s a nice quiet spot but still only 5 mins walk to Shoal bay beach, little beach and 5 - 10 mins walk to Nelson’s bay. Bed was comfy and loved the bath! So nice to soak in. I will definitely be back :)

I would have given 10 stars if it wasn’t for the noisy water pipes... They would squeal quite loudly whenever the water was on. It was unfortunate as everything else was so great. There was also a loud beeping noise that would randomly happen during the day. No idea what it was but gosh it was annoying. It didn’t happen at night though.

Our one bed unit at Beaches Apartments was well appointed, with a good kitchen for a self catered holiday. Located in a great part of Port Stephens, equidistant from Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay, about 15 minute easy walk to either. Just around from Little Beach, a five minute walk, for a swim or sunset drink at Little Beach Boatshed, a gem! The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Our balcony was large with table and chairs, overlooking a nice clean pool, with BBQ facilities adjacent which we cooked on most nights. The Queen sized bed was very comfortable and bathroom was roomy and clean. Our only complaint was the hot water was sufficient, but not overly hot, and the vanity did not drain well. Easy problems for management to fix, no doubt. We were there to relax for two weeks, to play golf, to swim, to bush-walk and sightsee. All, of which the Port Stephens area provides capably for. Golf at Nelson Bay GC, Horizons, Newcastle GC and Pacific Dunes at Medowie, all close by and exceptional golf courses to the seasoned golfer. Two weeks in Port Stephens kept us entertained but we have been there now and will explore elsewhere in the future. But, if you have not spent a week or more in Port Stephens then add it to your bucket list. And, Beaches Apartments in our view makes a great base.

Really comfortable with good facilities. Staff were helpful. Really clean - can see that a lot of effort is put into upkeep. Great location close to little Beach and all the activities in Nelson Bay.

Hard to report little faults and so they may not get addressed, i.e missing pans, lights that need replacing etc. The auto-locking door is an issue - kids are not mindful they are excited and want to play and as a consequence our friends were locked out. Called the emergency number and no response.

The apartment has all equipments you normally use at home in good condition. Short walk to the bus stop worked really well for as I don't use a car. Also beautiful Shoal bay beach is nearby as well which I could walk.

Towels I had trust issues if they are clean as I found hair in a towel. I had brought my own towel anyways. Buses are not frequent so Woolworths is bit far if you have to walk. Also having to pay double price when I travel alone :/

The cleanliness was excellent. Rooms are in excellent conditions. The kitchen has everything you need. The facilities like dishwasher, washing machine dryer just helps if you are living for few days.

TVs are old style. Wish they could be smart TVs. It just helps customers to add their own account and watch OTT or Youtube on those TVs. The bathroom and the toilet could be separate.

I loved the entire resort. Not to big, but not too small. The established gardens really make it feel like an escape to a tropical paradise. The pool and BBQ area is very inviting and it makes you want to cook every meal out there. The cooking utensils and cleaning supplies for the BBQ area are really nice touches that encourages users to leave it nice and clean for the next user. Location is also fantastic, not on the main strip so there is no noise during the night, and very little during the day. Rooms are very well furnished and has everything you need plus extras. The rooms are also huge, plenty of space for everyone. Most importantly, everything works! Finally, Adela is an absolute queen with customer service. Nothing is ever a problem and she is full of life and energy that is infectious. Definitely an asset to Beaches Apartments. She's also more than happy to have a chat!

There was an issue with vermin in the room we were first placed in. But after concerns were voiced, the issue was fixed and I'm sure going forward, there won't be any further appearances. I hate to mention it because the problem was fixed, but it was an extra effort to have to move apartments midway through the stay.
