Carpet looks old or dirty, furniture is dated or needs a repaint, it seems the room needs investment in renovation, however everything is functional. Dinner need to be reserved 24 hr in advance? inconvinient, I ended up dining out in a restrauant and had to walk back to the hotel alone in the dark worried about safety as there is no taxi. Breakfast provided variety of bakeries, however stir-fried veggies and scrambled eggs are in short supply and the trays are almost always empty during the half hour when I was there. No service of foreign exchange, payment was mandatory in official exchange rate, (i.e. official USD/Pesos 1:172; unofficial 1:320) which is a unknown to me before booking.

The hotel is really big and must've been impressive in its day but it now needs a facelift The carpets are dirty and stained, towels and bedding needs replacing. The lighting in the rooms and furnishing was dreadful Pool area/paddle court etc need an overhaul too. The shower didn't work properly and the water pressure was very low. Toilet seat was broken
